fiance was given a form stating that we must create an account and print something out befoe we can pick up the passport but it looks like we have already created this account before  back when were booking the interview appointment not sure if its the same account or if we have to create a new on and its asking us to print something . any suggestions please

Same one you don’t need to do anything at this point, just wait check the account it will go blank but to get an idea when it’s ready check ceac. Once the traveldocs website say ready to pick up, that’s when you need to go to new appointment, I think you choose document delivery the you choose a visa type, k1 is not in there so choose one close enough, and they will give you the passport.

Congrats SW1315!

I just thought I'd update that my fiancé and my NOA2 finally arrived end of May - no online update just got the hardcopy. We've done the DS-160, scheduled an interview (July 26 #######.. 55 days out from the day we booked, everything is taking the max amount of time), and requested packet 3.

I'm wondering though - where do you find the NVC in transit/received information? Is that on the ceac site? Do you use the receipt/case number? Applicant ID number from DS-160 confirmation? Immigrant or non-immigrant visa? I'm not being able to get in - but maybe it also doesn't matter since it's all moving ahead.

Thanks for all your crowd sourced knowledge!

It doesn’t really matter it just help to know, but you you the case number PTP........ and I think it’s non-immigrant if not choose the other one. And once you get packet 3 do medical and it should be simple from there.

You should do it now. Do you have the ptp# given by the embassy? When you fill out your ds160 you will need it. Also, you should have him choose the date for his interview now as well.

Hi, thanks!

Yes I have the PTP#, we just did not receive the packet 3 everyone has been mentioning. I'm not sure what it is and if I (petitioner) receive it in the US or if he (beneficiary) receives it in Haiti.

You need to schedule an interview just like @N&Rdorcy said then do medical. I am not sure they will need you to show a copy of the NOA2 although sometimes they do, so fill the ds-160 your fiancee need tou sign and submit it digitally, sign up at traveldocs pay visa, schedule an interview and go do medical with packet 3 and the interview receipt.

You should email the embassy and ask for packet 3 right now if you haven’t done so already.

Thanks!

What's packet 3 exactly? we have not received it and I'm not sure what it is and if I (petitioner) receive it in the US or if he (beneficiary) receives it in Haiti.

Packet 3 is basically the embassy telling your fiancee you filed and what next step to take usually it’s suppose to go to the beneficiary address in Haiti but physical mail is not their expertise over there, my fiancee received it 1 day before she need to go to the interview but the best alternative is to request it by email from the embassy of Haiti once NVC send your case over there. It’s been a while but I posted packet 3 in this thread, in the month of march I think. And you should find a template on how to send the email to the embassy somewhere in here too.  But you basically need to tell them your case number and email asking them to send it to the email you provide.

Print out your I-94 info > https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/request.html

Follow this guide for getting the SSN > http://www.visajourney.com/content/ssn

Follow this guide for AOS > http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1k3aos

The fees are listed here > http://www.uscis.gov/i-485

The fees for the I-765(EAD-work authorization) and I-131(AP-advance parole for travel) are waived when filed with a pending I-485, so include both of those too. It takes about 60-90 days to receive the EAD/AP combo card, which will allow you to work(along with an SSN) and re-enter the US when traveling abroad while waiting for the green card approval.

You need all the supporting documents for each form as well, so read the instructions for each one. You can also search here on VJ for what to include with each form if you get stumped. There are also example forms here on VJ you can look at when filling out the forms. They can be helpful.

And here are the details you need about whether or not you need to see a civil surgeon > http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/551080-immunizations-ds-3025-or-i-693/

Random quick question is i-134 Affidatif support needed for the interview? USCIS advised me I didn't have to submit it with my application but im not sure if they will ask my fiancé for it when it boils down to the interview.
