Hi guys! I am in the states & applying for my fiance in Haiti.

I sent in the petition back in October 2017 —> got our NOA1 in December or January —> did not get the NOA2 (I think it got lost in the mail), but I did check the status and saw that our case was approved 4/2018 —> then got the email saying it was sent to the embassy in Haiti last week (5/2018).

So from what I understand, are we to wait for the embassy in Haiti to contact my fiance before doing the ds-160 application?

Appreciate the help!

You should do it now. Do you have the ptp# given by the embassy? When you fill out your ds160 you will need it. Also, you should have him choose the date for his interview now as well.

Hi guys so my fiance's interview is tomorrow morning.

I have sent him all necessary documents via DHL

Heres the problem: we decided to go over our documents this morning to make sure everything is in the right place but what happened is the I-130 document theres a page where i guess i was supposed to put my work address and work information but instead i put his by mistake and it can be easily corrected except all the printing places are closed and his interview is tomorrw morning.  so he cant pront another page to re-enter the correct info i really would like to know if they even ask for the form? along with that ive also submited 3 months worth of paystub that includes my work address and information i also have another print out with that information . do you think they will actually look at the i-130 page by page line by line and notice the mistake and if so is it a big deal if i already have other legitiment documents stating where i work how much i get paid so on ???

I am guessing you meant the I-134 but no they didn’t ask anyone in here for it, I am in the second stage they will have a form for that when you are filing for adjustment. Although it said on VJ to have it which is always safe never actually heard of them asking for it. And no it’s not that big of a deal people make mistakes you just have to acknowledge it when and if they ask. If you really worrying about it make the correction send it to him he can actually print it out in the morning before the interview they have places by the embassy where they do so. Good luck!

p.s. tell him not to volunteer any information they didn’t ask for it, they will ask if they need anything.

You need to schedule an interview just like @N&Rdorcy said then do medical. I am not sure they will need you to show a copy of the NOA2 although sometimes they do, so fill the ds-160 your fiancee need tou sign and submit it digitally, sign up at traveldocs pay visa, schedule an interview and go do medical with packet 3 and the interview receipt.

You should email the embassy and ask for packet 3 right now if you haven’t done so already.

No problem I thought that was weird you will always find a place although it depends on where you live.

From the experiences my hubby told me he went through with his parents he stated there are always people outside of the embassy with computers and printers. I would have him login into his email and print it out. I would also advise to change his password immediately after and would not recommend giving anyone his paperwork that he has.

Congrats SW1315!

I just thought I'd update that my fiancé and my NOA2 finally arrived end of May - no online update just got the hardcopy. We've done the DS-160, scheduled an interview (July 26 #######.. 55 days out from the day we booked, everything is taking the max amount of time), and requested packet 3.

I'm wondering though - where do you find the NVC in transit/received information? Is that on the ceac site? Do you use the receipt/case number? Applicant ID number from DS-160 confirmation? Immigrant or non-immigrant visa? I'm not being able to get in - but maybe it also doesn't matter since it's all moving ahead.

Thanks for all your crowd sourced knowledge!
