Hi, some people are saying that there files are being transferred to Haiti, does that mean NVC is not holding the files anymore, and the embassy personnel went back to Haiti? Because the do not travel ban is still on for Haiti, so I'm a little confused. Ive been trying to call NVC, but can never get through.

Yes, a few ladies I’ve been in contact with.. their cases have been shipped to Haiti a few days ago. And mine is still @ NVC. Maybe sometime next week it’ll be shipping so if it does I’ll let you know.

I don’t really know what you mean by that but after NVC process your case, if there’s no problem with it then they assign you a case number. Within 1-2 weeks they send your case to the embassy in Haiti  for processing, the embassy now have to do the rest; they will contact you to tell you what to do as far as getting your medical done, sending documents for pre-screening etc..

When the NVC give you the case number you can track down to see where your case is etc... if it says it’s in transit that means it is on its way to the embassy they should get it the next day or so, once they receive it you case then will say READY. Now you can email the embassy at support-haiti@ustraveldocs.com to request your  packet 3 via email, make sure you send them your email, name of both of you case number and date of birth. Once you receive it you can do your medical, pay for your visa at sogexpress. But now You can’t schedule interview because they change that, you have to wait for them to contact you and tell you what to do.

Really? The NVC told me that they do not ship the information to the embassy until the interview date is given. Wow...

I don't understand what is going on in Haiti now either. There may be some minor protests now but nothing like the danger they had a while back.

Yes. IR1 though. I've felt like crossing the border from the DR into Haiti and going straight to the embassy myself to see what is going on.

It's a mess. I don't what to think anymore.  All we can do is waittttttt and see. And pray. When my case was at nvc stage it took 3months to get an interview.  So hang in there, but nowww that tye embassy is back up who knows the knew time estimate. Smhh
