Hi all,

Found this forum to be helpful hence i am posting here a question i have regarding my AOS

12/29/17- Filed AOS ( I485,I131, I765)

1/2/18-  case was received

1/12/18- received all NOA in mail

1/19/18 received biometric appointment notice

2/2/18- did biometric

Up to today 2/12 there is no change in my status online. both i765 and i131 say case received still, while i485 says fingerprint fee received.

Does anybody has previous experience like this? When should i expect those to change .

My i765 is pending for 42 days. I have a job offer that i need to sign by the end of the week hence it is urgent. What can i do how can i expedite? Is there any solution or hope that EAD can be approved in 42 days??

Please help and share your thoughts any feedback is very much appreciated.

Thank you!!!

It's currently taking around 4-5 months for EAD/AP approval. You can try to expedite this with proof of a job offer, and while those expedites are often successful, they also take a few weeks of time.

The processing time of the I-485 depends on your local field office. Some offices are processing cases in 3 months, others are taking over a year.

The AOS documents all go to the NBC for initial processing. The I-765 and I-131 are processed there, but the I-485 is then sent to your local field office.

You can find your local field office here: https://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-uscis-office/field-offices

So is mine. :)

You are in for a bit of wait in that case, Chicago is currently taking 9+ months to process I-485 petitions.

As mentioned before, you can try expediting the I-765 by calling USCIS and faxing them proof of your job offer.

As long as i receive EAD i should be fine then just waiting for I-485.

I saw your timeline, has your status changed online for any of the cases? like for me i485 it still says fingerprint received.

The case status for our I-485 just changed to 'interview ready to be scheduled' on January 26, 2018. I need to include that we did receive a request for initial evidence back in October 2017 (they received the requested documents on October 18), so that likely slowed things down a bit. I honestly don't expect to hear any updates on this case until sometime this summer.

Our I-765 was approved in 131 days, after making several service request via phone. The status is now 'card was mailed to me', and we did receive the card in the mail on January 24.

Our I-131 was never updated and still says 'case received' , however we did receive the EAD/AP combo card that serves both purposes, so that status is irrelevant now.

Oh congrats that is nice at least your case is ready for interview and you got your EAD

I believe they never update those online statuses. They havent sent me an RFE or anything so far after biometrics its been almost 2 weeks.

I am just hoping to put  SR via phone for my EAD and hopefully get it soon even though its only been 42 days.

Thanks a lot for your feedback good luck :)
