Hi mga sis, I have a question... Is there any of you filled tax separate due to your husband has owe the Irs a lot of money even before you got married till now?... and you got no problem in processing your ROC? Thanks

you can file married filing seperate but you have to list the other's SS number and they can still seize your return as now you are both responsible for the other

 

he needs to make an argreement to pay the amount due plus the interest and fees

Nooooo..  One of the advantages of a MFS return is that you are only responsible for your own tax liability

Thanks guys. Yes filling married but separated. We still decided to file joint. We seek a tax lawyer and according to him, we can pay the current one. So Were ok. I thought he needs to settle the old ones first before we can pay the current. Thanks
