Hi everyone,

ok I need some advice. My brother in-law and father would like to come visit my husband for his birthday in April. He and his family are from Jamaica. The problem is, my brother in-law has tried 2 times already for a tourist visa and has been denied. He doesn’t want to stay here, just wants to be able to visit his brother whenever he can. His father has been here years ago on a work visa, and he returned to Jamaica within the time that was given to him. I’m trying to figure out what are some things that will help them prove that they do not want to live in America. It sucks when someone actually does not want to live here, but just wants to visit their family.

they need to have strong ties to their country, aside from bank account, a job, family, properties, reasons to return. unfortunately there is nothing you can help them with.

In JA age plays a factor.  How old is his father?  He will be able to get it qucker than the brother.  My brother in law was denied several times until he participated in a work visa program and then he got approved.

No harm trying, what has changed since his prior refusals.

His father is in his 50s and the brother is 29; married with 2 kids. I’m not sure why he got denied this last time he tried

If his situation hasn’t changed since his denials, he’ll get another denial. He needs to change whatever got him denied before then apply again.

Thank you. That makes a lot of since. I’m not sure why they denied him the last time
