What the heck? Don’t listen to this person. There is an income requirement. You need to be at 125% of the poverty line to be able to support a K1 visa. Some embassies will take 100% of the poverty line at the interview stage but then at AOS you have to be at 125%. Nowhere on USCIS does it say there’s no income requirement. Don’t give out wrong information.

Incorrect

Point out where it says there is a income requirement on the I-129F

You are the person giving out wrong information, You have already given the poster wrong information.  US Embassy in Manila hasn't asked for income requirements for over 2 years on a K1 Visa.

You need to apologize to the OP for giving out incorrect information.

Just when you think you have TDS eradicate,  a new case shows up.

How will you support your fiancé after she gets here if you don't find a job in time? You do know she won't be able to work for several months and you have a hefty AOS bill to pay after marriage, don't you?

I took off from work for about 2 years when I made my first trip to Philippines.  I went since I had time on my hand.  I had plenty of money in the bank, house was paid for, had plenty of cash and assets.

Although the actual I-129 form has no income requirements to complete and submit, do you not have to have the appropriate Affidavit of Support in order to continue the process if/when the petition/I-129 is approved and forwarded to the next appropriate office for handling? The Affidavit of Support for the K1 Visa (I-134, I believe is the actual number) does contain income requirements, including that the USC/petitioner/sponsor have an income above poverty lines based on their household size. I see a lot of people telling the OP there are no income requirements, and it appears they are the USC (and would subsequently be the sponsor/petitioner for a K1 Visa), so this may be misleading. I'd hate to see someone pay the money and make the effort to submit a petition that, yes may be approved, but that may be denied down the road at a later stage just because of this kind of confusion.

Håll ut, y'all.

I thought you only need to prove your income during the interview stage when your fiance attends his/her interview?

I'm somewhat thinking of the same thing; the applicable Affidavit of Support/etc. would be provided by the petitioner/sponsor to the beneficiary, who presents it at the interview, typically.

Yes, you need to prove your income during the interview stage later because that is when I-134 (affidavit of support is needed). However, even though it will only be needed later during the interview stage. You need to start thinking about it now. Of course, you don't want to start this process, pay the fee, but end up facing difficulty to prove your financial ability and it will affect your fiance visa. Here, this thread might help you more.
