Worried of TB Testing!!

I got my case number for my fiance (it's still at NVC).  I'm worried because she has pneumonia she will need to have TB sputum testing done because they'll likely see white on her lungs during x-ray.   Can I have her go ahead and submit the DS-160 and pay fees and schedule a medical before the case is in Manila and "ready"?

If they do see spots, is it directly onto the sputum testing or do they do other (shorter) tests to determine if TB is present?

We're really worried because we've waited so long already for this!

Thank you for your help!

Generally they will go do culture testing if they spot something.

She can obviously notify them a head of time about the pneumonia, never know what that might do with the outcome of the x-rays; but yea.

Yes, you can proceed with all steps once you have the case number for USEM (this is NOT the case with all other embassies).

Typically they can tell the difference between the two by how they appear on a chest x-ray if that offers any reassurance
