How were you able to get a job at McD's?

What did you say on your I9?

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

I was wondering also since F-1 students, especially during first year can't accept off campus employment, per USCIS. Then again, once you did 'abandon" your studies you voided the F-1 anyways. As soon as you fall below the course requirements it's voided in fact, so perhaps doesn't even matter actually.

Can not believe McD do not follow normal procedures.

So what is your advise base on that?

If it was not clear what you did/filled in to get hired by McD maybe highly relevant, so check that first.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Ok, I will do just that and get back once that's is cleared. Thanks

Make sure you didn't tell them that you're a US citizen.  ;)

I'm 99% sure that companies like McDonald check the immigrant status.
