We attached copies of personal handwritten letters, some of them not in English. Most of them without a date, though (because we didn't write one on it and it's not primary evidence anyway). Is it likely that something like that can cause a RFE because they can't read what it says? Should we have sticked to English "evidence"?

It won't cause an RFE unless that was ALL the evidence you sent. If it was just extra stuff, they won't bother with it. They do, however, only count stuff they can read and understand.

Your personal handwritten letters don't really count for too much for the I-129F portion of the process anyway. They don't prove you've met in the last 2 years in person and they don't prove that you intend to marry. Assuming you sent in copies of stamps in passports indicating travel to see each other, plus boarding passes, and other primary evidence, you're probaby fine.

Not really, you could have added a translation (not necessarily certified one, you dnt really need certified or original documents when you first send your petition), but if you included pictures, passport stamps, plane tickets, etc. You are fine.

TomTom,

Yes, it is likely. They may ignore the material that they cannot read, but it's more likely that since you thought it worth submitting they'll want to understand it.

Please do follow up and let us know whether or not you get an RFE.

If it's not primary evidence then it shouldn't cost you any problem. What you do need to be prepared is when you on the interview, you might need to prove is there is no problem of communication between you two.
