My US petitioner wife wants to file her tax separately which means I have to do the same.

Will this have an effect on my ROC application? Tax, Married filing separately.

We DON'T have a joint account, but we have docs of living together.. both names on rent lease, we have bills at same address, we have a child, both names on car insurance, pictures etc

Has anyone ever done tax; married filing separately and had no problems with ROC?

It makes absolute zero difference. I did file MFS few years in a row, including during RoC - and I am one of the many.

No concern, just make sure your status is "Married" on the tax return regardless of whether you file jointly or not.
