Hi VJ's

I got my greencard July 2017. Me and my husband will be having our 3 weeks vacation in Philippines (where i was born) to visit my family. I was just wondering what to expect when i re-enter US after our travel. Would there be any problem? What are the documents I need to prepare to avoid problems in re-entering US? What are the questions I should expect from CBP?

Sorry I have a lot of questions. This will be my 1st international travel after getting my greencard and I want to be prepared as much as possible. Any response will be surely appreciated.

Thank you.

I went to the Philippines for 3 weeks to celebrate christmas last year. Since you just got your green card you will be able to enter the US via Kiosk. I do not know if this is available at your local airport. But in Seatac there is a kiosk where you scan your green card. Otherwise, you should be fine. Just bring your passport and green card.

When I went home to NZ to visit family after I received my green card I had zero issues. They just asked where I’d been, how long for and the purpose of my visit. They scanned my green card and took fingerprints before stamping my passport and sending me on my way.

Easy peasy 😊
