I just called. None of T1, T2, and supervising officers can see what I claimed below. They do not see any record of the reply.

On February 12, 2018, your request to have your case expedited, referral number WKDXXXXXXXXXXXXXXMSC, was completed.

On February 12, 2018, we sent a response to your request to have your case expedited, referral number WKDXXXXXXXXXXXXXXMSC.

On February 12, 2018, your request to have your case expedited, referral number WKDXXXXXXXXXXXXXXMSC, was assigned to an officer for response.

OMG that doesnt sound good!!

Let me guess, they suggest you should WAIT?!! <_<

When our SR was marked 'complete' on January 12, our card went into production 3 days later on Jan. 17. We never received the 'response' from the completed service requests, all we did receive was the EAD/AP approval letters later the following week with the approval date of January 17.

Hopefully it means your card will be produced very soon as well!

Thank you!

Today I am reaching day 131, just like you did. Hope that means something...

BTW, the supervisor did say that my case has been expedited since Jan 20ish. It is ALREADY on an officer's desk, and they cannot expedite it further.

Congratulations!! Mine too!

I got an email with this great news after I called T1 officer. I was waiting for T2 officer to call back and then I was approved!

Not sure if that call helped Hahaha :) Just joking. We just tried too much.

Anyway, our lives can move on. That is important.

Sure. Here are a few examples that I followed. They are more or less the same. But be aware that even expedited EAD could take almost two months from when you get your job offer in writing to when you get your card (my situation)

So my situation is like this: i already have a job as i am on CPT ( F-1 student) which allows me to work. However my next school semester is in 2 weeks and in order to keep my job i would need to enroll back in school which is a lot of money to pay and i dont have at the moment ( considering the filing fees as well :( ) . I only registered in school just to get permission to work when my previous EAD expired. What do you think i should do? How can i get an expedite in my case..

Still need to understand your situation more...

You are currently on F-1 status? You filed AOS together with EAD, right?

You have to choose between:

1 Pay the tuition, maintain F-1, and get another CPT with which you can work

2 Get the EAD based on AOS, then you can work.

Is that right? For the two situations

1. I have seen cases like this whose EAD (based on CPT) is not expedited and the reason given by USCIS is that F-1 holders are supposed to have funding covered before they came to the US.

2. EAD based on AOS would still take about 2 months for expedition, so I am not sure this would help at all.

I am currently in F-1 status but in about 2 weeks i will drop out of school ( new semester will start). Since i am AOS thru marriage i guess i dont need to maintain F-1 anymore. The problem is how can i work till when i get my EAD in hand? Till now i have been legal to work cuz of CPT.  I am at day 50 so EAD could come anytime from now to 150 days lol. From this forum ive read people got their EAD as soon as day 60 or as late as day 150 or more :( . I guess i will just wait. Unless if i find another job, and with the offer in hand i can expedite if i havent received it yet.

How long did it take for you? how many days were you in?

So we are only talking about the EAD based on AOS. I think it is possible to request expedition using your current employer or a new employer. But either way, it is NOT going to be fast. I waited for almost 140 days to get EAD, and that is 1.5 months after I requested expedition due to a job offer. So I would not hold my breath for the expedition. Good luck!!!

Omg 140 days :o !!! thats quite a long time.

How can i use my current employer to expedite the EAD based on AOS ? I guess its worth a shot.  What do i need from them to provide to uscis since i already am working with them?

Thanks a lot!! its helpful to get feedback from other ppl who have gone same route

I think I've read some people with similar issues expedite based on financial loss  (do a search in VJ) with a letter from the employer explaining they cant loose you for x y reason and that not having EAD on time would prevent you from working. To that I would add whatever doc you have that is expiring in 2 weeks, and maybe some bills you need to pay.. rent cellphone etc as evidence

Expedites are taking longer than before (mine took 3 weeks only for approval, I still don't have either the approval letter or the card itself, and I was very proactive with calling, contacting my congressman at the right time, and answering the fax as soon as I got the request).. but one thing is sure.. it will take longer the more you wait.. the first call is just placing the request.. then you have to wait for them to ask for the evidence... then review the evidence.. and then if approved send your case to an adjudicator.. each step takes as long as USCIS wants.. the only one that you have control over is when you put in the request.. So make that call ASAP

Just a tip.. sometimes when I need something from my employer ASAP, such as this letter, I volunteer to write it myself and they just have to review it and sign it vs them having to stop working and write this letter..

I hope this helps somehow, Good Luck
