More than likely they were concerned that a waiver would not be granted, and the husband would be stuck in Brazil for 10 or more years.  There was a recent case in Detroit that was similar, although I don’t know if he was detained at the USCIS Office.

Its no hard task to pop out us citizen babies in this country. It does not and should not qualify for any kind of reprieve of deportation . That was and is a tactic used by many illegal immigrants to get an anchor here. Thats how many illegal immigrants receive food stamps and welfare through there us citizen babies... hence the huge cost of illegal immigration as shown in the picture
