Everybody ready for another shutdown tonight/tomorrow? I for one do not think that this bill by either the House will pass the Senate or the Senate's bill will pass the house by tonight at all. As a Federal Worker we are assuming that we will have a shutdown tomorrow.

With the last shutdown didn't they agree to have a vote on the immigration issues before now? Did that happen? I forget the exact words of the 'agreement'.

 

Flying international tomorrow so I don't really care as long as the airport isn't significantly impacted (which I've heard it shouldn't be). We are going to some National Parks in March but I assume it'll be taken care of by then. We're in Africa for the next 3 weeks so I can just "peace out" and see what happens.

Or alternatively, perhaps we should look to Paul Ryan to allow a vote on immigration even if it doesn't have a majority of his own party agreeing to it. It may still gain a majority support in the House.

I agree that they should put the bill forward and let the Dems vote against it if that us what you mean.
