Hi

I am travelling on Sunday ( Excited ) lol

Just wanted to know, if I need to take any documents to show them at Immigration clearance ?? except Travel documents obviously :)

Thanks in advance

Bring everything you had in support of your visa (job letter, property or rental, return ticket etc) in your carry-on. You probably won’t need it, but if they ask for proof of plans to return home you have it.

Hi

I would really appreciate some help regarding US Visit Visa please.

My Wife ( British National ) is going to USA for a Conference in San Francisco and staying there for couple of weeks, so me and my daughter ( British National )are planning to go with her as I already booked holidays from work. My understanding is they both can get ESTA but I need to apply for a Visit Visa. The hotel is booked under her name from work so I need to know what documents do I need also do I need to tell them on a form I have FLR FP Visa and I overstayed my visa previously ??
Documents I am attaching

Hotel Booking ( Wife's name )
Payslip
Bank Statement
Work Letter about my job
Biomatrics residence card
Passport
national ID Card ( Pakistan )
Council Tax

Do I need any other documents ??

Thanks

If you already overstayed on a visa, that will be a automatic travel ban into the USA. I am a British born citizen and I always traveled to USA on a B1/B2 even though I did not need to after 9/11.

If I was you I would seek some legal advice.

Hey thanks for your information, to let you know I have overstayed my Student VISA in UK and not USA.

Anyway went through Custom and Border protection without any problem, all they asked was purpose of visit and how long I am visiting for.

Now I need to travel back again in October for 10 days, I just follow the same procedure, keep my documents with me just in case and be honest :)

Thanks for all your help.

Your all good then, I guess it's the UK Border Force you have to have worry about? They can be very arrogant towards non Brits at times. I am glad all went well for you but remember afew visits a year to the USA can raise the suspicions of homeland security customs officers.

Yeah your rite, first time when I went through border force at Manchester airport after coming back from Dubai I was stopped and they gone through few checks but since than I have travelled well over 20 countries on Pakistani Passport but never had any trouble, I always keep a spare  Landing cards with me so I always be the first one in international queue and its always seems like a peace of cake lol.

This time I am attending a conference for my work and I will have invitations and all the relevant papers from work.

Thanks for your prompt response.

At heathrow it’s very common... We flew into Newcastle once and they were super friendly, I think it was a novelty for them - we were the only ones in the non-brit/EU line!
