Hi all, i dont know which existing forum this should fit into but here goes:

My fiance passed her interview this morning and there were a couple pieces of paperwork that were required that we were fortunate to have, one just plain lucky to have.

First is the appointment confirmation email from USEM. It says on pg 2 of these pgs to bring these pages to the interview. Other than this page i have not seen it indicated anywhere including the USEM checklist referred to many times. You cant even get past the first guard without this doc.

Second is the receipt from BPI for payment of fees for interview (original). I haven't seen reference to this being required for embassy interview anywhere. This was requested at screening window.

It seems that some some prodding to USEM to update their checklist would be good for all.

Congrats on the interview!  :)

You are the first, in all the years I have been hanging out here, that has made issue on that, but you are correct - those two documents are not noted in the embassy instructions letter that you need to bring them.

Thanks Hank,

yes this link, you sent, is to the often referred checklist which is what we used for our primary checklist also. It is very comprehensive, but doesn't mention either document.

The other links either directly or indirectly get you to USEM which has no information on these docs.

We really liked and give kudos to the creators of the Visa Connection site. We found this to be very, very helpful, super easy to navigate, and have just ABOUT everything we needed in a site.

We refer everyone that approaches us now with questions about K1 or whatever to FIRST.......ignore everything they read on facebook!!!! second sign up on Visa Journey then go to the Visa Connection link.

I appreciate, I do try to keep it current and useful.  So I have to ask on the "about", what am I missing that you feel is needed on the site?

Salamat
