Hey,

Both my wife the USC and I live abroad.

On form I-864 my wife thought that she filed taxes in 2014, but after talking to her parents they told her that they never filed her taxes on 2014.

Because she was a student at that year and made less then $5000 which is  underneath the poverty line and therefore exempt from filing.

What to do? we already sent the package.. How do we update our form?

who was the Co-Sponsor, as you both live abroad, you would have had to have a co-sponsor with in the package

Her parents who live in the states

Why?

the last tax return is the only one they care about, so even if she didn't file a 2014 return it will not matter as there is a co-sponsor so I wouldn't worry about updating it, if it comes up at interview just explain there was an error they will focus primarily on the most current tax return and assets

It's the wife's 2014 tax return that wasn't filed.  Just take an updated/corrected affidavit of support from the petitioner to the interview.
