Unfortunately there is no maximum amount of time you can be in AP. For most people it's a few weeks or months. In rare cases it can last years.

I doubt it.

And even if you could, it wouldn't change anything. You cannot circumvent AP.

What kind of training?

Is it only available in the US or could you do this training at home but are choosing to do it in the US?

Is the training of use in your country or only if you end up moving to the US?

you will undergo a check to see that the training is "as you say" and within the guidelines of the J1 visa

they need to check on where you will train and who with to make sure documents you submitted are legimate

it would have been better if they had kept your passport

we wish you good luck
