Our interview is this Thursday and we are very anxiety to prepare to make sure we have enough documents to bring for my wife AOS interview.

So far we have,

  1. Her photo identification
  2. NOA 1 and 2
  3. Copy of USCIS medical exam and original Spanish medical exam
  4. My 2017 W-2 and tax return
  5.  My letter for proof of employment and last 2 months of my pay stubs
  6. Her proof of lawful permanent resident status (My wife mail address bills, health insurance added under mine and her state ID)
  7. Her EAD/AP card
  8. All USCIS NOA documents
  9. Her Birth certificate with certified English translated
  10. Photos of our relationship including wedding.
  11. state marriage certificate
  12. Her passport

My questions is that do I need to bring copy of completed Affidavit of Support I-864 and medical examination with sealed but it said " unless already submitted" which I already submitted the original ones?

Second question it said, "Original and copy of each supporting document that you submitted with your application. Otherwise, we any keep your originals for our records.". Does that mean I need to bring extra copies of all forms even though I already submitted to USCIS which they should have copy of it?

Is there anything else I should bring?

Bring a duplicate of the entire file you originally submitted plus the originals. I-864 included. We were asked for a copy of a document we had submitted but they said they didn't have, it happens. You wouldn't have received a copy of the medical in sealed envelope so no worries on that.

Anything else you think they might need that you didn't originally submit, like if you had a baby recently bring the birth certificate.

Yes ,I would advise you to bring a copy of your whole original package. They might not ask for anything like in my case but better safe than sorry.

When I went (In August 2017), I brought everything you mentioned plus a copy of all the forms I handed in. Plus pictures and proof of bona fide marriage. I put it all in a nice little picture book, I'm a guy and it's the first time I did scrap booking. But your list seems good. This is the interview, just exhaust all your copied info and bring it all. If they dont ask for it, thats fine. But at least have it just incase. Your list does seem fine tho . They only took our Medical exam, because mine was out of date.

Our interviewer was amazingly nice, mabe we got lucky there. He took our Medical Exam and I think that was it. He asked to look at pictures so I showed him awkwardly (We aren't really picture people). Other than that we chatted, Me and my spouse are Gamers and he was one too. So we had a nice little chat about the latest playstation games and VR. It was surreal to be honest. I talked to my USCIS officer about video games? *Facepalm*

But ofc it was for him to see us interact, etc... thats the most important think I think for the interview. Just a little side story for you hehe.

But yeah, we had all our documents. He only wanted pictures and our Medical exam. But I think always bring everything, copies of your whole application. Evidence , the works. Just incase.
