1) I notice on the California Center there are many notes about reusing biometrics and so on but nothing on the Vermont center. Does that mean no one that is using the Vermont Center got anything? I'm asking because we haven't received anything yet.

Vermont does not have quite the same backlog as California seems to have. The majority of Vermont filers had received a biometrics appointment long before even California decided to start reusing biometrics from earlier in the process. Presumably, all those filers who had confirmed previously when their appointment was scheduled to me, have now completed that stage of this process and are, like the rest of us, waiting for further action.

All quiet here. We've entered the lull period where little to no activity will likely happen for many months.

Here's the most recently updated chart that I last changed back in July. Reposting it here so its not buried so far in the thread for others to find.

Hi everyone

Here is my I751 status

Submission date  2/6/2018

NOA Received 2/11/2018

Biometrics 3/29/2018

I recently moved from NY to LA. So I updated the new address while I751 is pending on 7/30/2018.

I have some concern if my case will be transferred from Vermont to California. Does it mean my case need to start over again or any delays?

thanks

Hello Fellow ROC'ers in Waiting. We are January filers, cross-pollinating onto this thread. If you look here:

https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

and rather than selecting whatever field office your petition resides at and select 'Across All Offices', you get this:

Did they recently add Nebraska and Texas as options to choose? I don't remember seeing those before. Hopefully they are transferring cases from CSC to the two locations. Wishful thinking, but I'm almost positive TX and NE weren't options last week,

So as I read it, with USCIS shifting case loads around to 'balance' the backlog, Even with a newly expanded 18-month extension letter, it is likely that 99.9% of us will be seeking an infopass to get an I-551 stamp in our beneficiary's foreign passport.

I am sharing this with you, not to be a downer, but as a word of caution. We have one couple on our thread whose foreign passport will expire this year. Your local field office will not stamp an expired passport. So, with the expected longest wait being more than 3 years, please take a moment to look at the expiration date of your beneficiary's foreign passport. If it expires before mid-2022, you may want to look into what it will take to get it renewed, while there is time to negotiate any obstacles.

Incidentily, the estimated time range on this site, Just 2 Days Ago, was 17 to 33.5 months. It went up 3 to 6 months in the past 2 days.

So, Buckle up for a longer than expected wait, check your documents and continue to gather evidence, in case they should ask for it.

We are not stressing about it. Enjoy your lives together, and don't let this process become a stressful thing. Mark your calendars with the important check-dates, and forget about it. It will happen when it happens.

On that same page:

https://egov.uscis.gov/processing-times/

at the right end of the blue bar, USCIS indicates what date (for your NOA) they will allow you to file a 'Past Normal Processing Time' inquiry...

Currently, that NOA date is listed as May 15, 2015

Hi Guys!

My NOA Is  Feb 1 2017.

Today I received an email at 5am that an action had been taken on my case. I signed in to dhs website and it said - we are producing your card. But there is no change on egov website.

Does it mean I’m approved? I just don’t understand why one website says that the card is being produced and the other one has that March 5 glitch.

Sounds like you're using egov.uscis.gov. Have you tried my.uscis.gov? They're switching over but of course haven't told anybody. That being said, both of mine still show thumbs twiddling and have done since the end of Feb.

Yes I have tried both but I get the same status. I have not received my 18 month extension either.0

Thanks for this info, however, I read that ridiculously long processing time as the time for your LOCAL field office. Like, that's how long it would possibly take for the Minneapolis-St Paul USCIS field office to process my wife's I-751. How common is it for these to be transferred to local field offices? When you look at each Service Center individually, they're 17-18 months, with CSC being the outlier (21 months).

Possibly worth noting, the Minneapolis-St Paul field office appears to have cleared a huge backlog of N-400s. Last time I checked, they were taking 23-40 months. Now they're down to 18-22 or something like that. I wonder if local field offices have essentially stopped adjudicating I-751s and are leaving them to the Service Centers, resulting in that super high processing time at field offices for I-751s?

Do you mind sharing what type of Visa did you adjust from? I could not find you on the table.

Thanks!

That's for all field offices combined. Each field office has their own inquiry date. CSC is sitting at November 24, 2016. I can't figure out what the use of the combined data is for. It makes the processing times look worse than what they really are.
