Yes I filed for ROC on 10th Feb. Received NOA (12mo extension) 20th Feb. Nothing since. Opened an enquiry on 8th June after a few phone calls that got nowhere. On the 18th June they sent a letter basically saying "it takes as long as it takes." The 18mo extension was dated the same date (and it's 18mo from the date my green card expired, not 18mo from the 12mo extension). My status is still at "we received your case and will begin processing it." I'm based in St Louis applying via the California Service Center.

Thanks for confirming. I have now added you to our tracking table. Some comfort to your delay is that you've received the 18-month extension. Most of us here are on the 12-month extensions.

MyUSCIS has finally updated that I attended a biometrics appointment. I know it's not that exciting of an update but at least it's something hahaha!

Definitely good to see some update!

Looks as if we have entered a bit of a lull in proceedings for now. Few to no updates on most of our cases. Updated tracking table below.

Hello. I’m Alex and I applied on 2/4/2018. Received the first NOA on 2/12/2018 with 12 month extension and got the letter regarding reusing biometrics on 05/12/2018. I have not been able to see any status on the USCIS case status page since March and noticed the processing time just keeps going up. Anyone worried about this or is it just me?

Also would you add me to the list starsky?

I just checked the portal and they did not update my status, it is still "We received your biometrics fee and will begin processing your case".

Certainly. Welcome to the forums! Updated tracking table below, no other updates besides this one. All quiet.

Really good to know, thank you! I don't have Global Entry but have been thinking of getting it. Will postpone it for now.

@Unidentified Global Entry is phenomenal! However, losing a full year (or more) of the service really sucks.

My wife and I just got back this past Monday. She was out of the country for 6 weeks and had no trouble at all traveling with an expired green card and the extension letter. Make sure you bring the original and not a copy.

On a side note for those of you with Global Entry. When we returned she manually entered her green card number in the kiosk, it said it wasn't valid and to proceed to passport control. DO NOT go to the huge line, there's an officer a few feet away from the kiosk that processed her passport, etc. She had her Global Entry card that she presented to the officer. No issues there either.

@neoblast that's brilliant! Thank you for posting that tip. We have another international trip in November that we'll try your method. We'll have time to kill since we're flying directly into our home airport of DFW then. EWR we had a tight connection and did with the agent told us.

Hi 2 questions

1) I notice on the California Center there are many notes about reusing biometrics and so on but nothing on the Vermont center. Does that mean no one that is using the Vermont Center got anything? I'm asking because we haven't received anything yet.

2) The extension letter is good for a year. So what happens if it's approaching a year and we still don't have the new green card? What's the process? Should we apply for something else or apply again?

Thank you

If you are nearing the end of your extension letter, then you have to make an Info pass appointment at a local USCIS office to get a I-551 stamp in your passport.

USCIS recently put out a notice that applicants for ROC after June 11 2018 will receive an extension letter for 18 months rather than a year, and applicants still pending on June 11 2018 will get new 18 monrh extension letters, but im still waiting for my new one.

Read this:

https://www.uscis.gov/news/alerts/update-form-i-797-receipt-notices-form-i-751-and-form-i-829

Hope that's makes it clear to anybody asking about ROC extension letters !

I just checked the portal and they did not update my status, it is still "We received your biometrics fee and will begin processing your case".

Mine has been showing “At this time USCIS cannot provide you with information for your case. Please contact the USCIS Contact Center at 1-800-375-5283 for additional information.” Since March and it worries me 😪

Sounds like you're using egov.uscis.gov. Have you tried my.uscis.gov? They're switching over but of course haven't told anybody. That being said, both of mine still show thumbs twiddling and have done since the end of Feb.
