@Starrgirl I'm a B1/B2 AOS too, will be watching if there's some sort of different handling. But I personally think you got lucky.  You should play the lotto next! Who knows.

Anyone have any status update on their online USCIS portal after their biometrics? My status hasn't changed, still says "USCIS can't provide any information..."

Mine still says "We received your biometrics fee and will begin processing your case" . Did my biometrics almost 2 months ago.

Are you using the new portal to track your case? The old portal still says the same for me as it has for months (the exact same message as you quoted). Admittedly, the status hasn't changed to reflect recent action but it is better than nothing.

Thanks Starksy! I been using I guess the old portal. On the new one would I have to create a new account or is my password/user still valid from the old portal?

 I had to make a new one. Good luck with the sign up process, you have to answer 10 questions about your life

Yes, it's a completely fresh sign up. I've no idea why USCIS doesn't make it clearer that the old one is being phased out. The only way I know about it was from others who had found it and started to use it here.

thank you @starsky!!. i would have been stuck in the old portal forever if i didn't see your post. It is so unprofessional USCIS doesn't tell us they have a new site.

I am not sure it's sarcasm, I think it's just being realistic  That is the impression I got when speaking to someone at USCIS a few years ago and processing times hasn't exactly improved since then.

Haha just made a new one as well. I would have never known there was a new site, so glad for this forum!

So glad the new portal has a new message, "We reviewed your Biometrics and are still processing your case".

My husband is about to use his extension letter for re-entry into the States soon. Specifically at EWR airport. Any advice or personal experiences you'd like to share?

There are several posts in the pages prior to this where folks have had zero issues re-entering using their extension letters. Definitely shouldn't be anything to be concerned about.
