There are no clues in either of the online portals, I assume? USCIS old and USCIS new. Standing by!

The old USCIS can't find our case yet, and the new USCIS shows that our case was received back in February but nothing other than that! I'm so nervous! Our mail should be here within the next two hours......

USPS Informed delivery. https://informeddelivery.usps.com

 

They send you an email with a picture of what is coming that day.

We use USPS informed delivery. It's free and shows you what you have coming in to your mailbox every day.

So exciting! That was my hope that that is what it would be! Unfortunately mine didn't actually come in the mail today. The other 5 pieces of mail that were scanned and pictured in today's informed delivery did get delivered, but of course, not the letter from USCIS  Hopefully tomorrow......

On the USPS website, you can sign up for this thing called 'Informed Delivery' where you can get an email every morning showing you scans of what items *should* be coming later that day in your mail... however, it's not always accurate. Sometimes things can be delayed a day or so.

Hi everyone. No updates here. Old uscis still shows no information can be provided. The new uscis says case was received. 

Next Friday I'm traveling back home for 2 weeks. Hopefully they won't want me to do biometrics during that time.

Message to mainly Starsky but everyone filing at the California Center too,  at last some movement! 

 

So today I received another NOA  Form I-797C  from  the California center, stating that they will reuse my previously captured fingerprints and other biometrics and will run the same security checks using these fingerprints

 

IT IS NOT NECESSARY TO APPEAR AT A USCIS ASC FOR ANOTHER BIOMETRICS APPOINTMENT.  AND YOU WILL NOT GET A REFUND OF THE BIOMETRICS FEE

 

So Starsky this confirms what we were thinking, they are using previous fingerprints and saves us having to turn up at a ASC ( I would have had to drive to Jacksonville from Gainesville about 3 hour round trip) so I'm not complaining! yah!!!

 

They also state that USCIS is continuing to process my case, so good news really

Happy that things are finally moving along for our CSC brothers & sisters  .

Although the fact that they're keeping the biometrics fee seems really dishonest but whatever.

 

Question for the VSC filers that have had their biometrics done: did your case update in your USCIS online account? I had my biometrics done last week and it's still not showing any update.

@klems10024 I'm sure at this point, CSC filers won't mind the money as long as their cases updates saying biometrics is completed. 

I had mine on a 5/4 and status was updated 5/7.

Trust me I do mind the money. I also mind the money I sent in for the I751 and it being later on combined with the N400 case as has happened with lots of other filers.We are being charged for a service but do not receive it.
