You make a good point, so I've decided not to use them. I think I have enough evidence: trips taken together, photos, bank statements, joint address proof, health insurance, car insurance + 8 going on 9 years of a relationship that I can prove in an instant. Thanks for your input!

I didn't use affidavits either, I remember on my interview when I adjusted my status they guy who interview us was very friendly joking around and stuff, he didn't even look at our affidavits. this time I didn't sent joint health insurance, we used to have the policy together and I used to be the beneficiary but last year his company changed their health insurance company and it was too expensive to be together in the same policy, so I took my company's health insurance,  and my husband stayed with his. we are saving about $250 a month doing it this way (it helps paying our bills)... I hope it is not issue. other than that I sent our bank statements, the title for our new house and mortgage, joint address proof, car insurance, and photos of our vacations together and with family.

Quick question for y'all, did you include affidavits from friends? I'm gonna include two just to have a little more buffer. We don't have a mortgage, car loan, shared cars (I'm on the insurance though), or children so I figured it wouldn't hurt.

I see the consensus is affidavits aren't needed! I would probably agree, but we included three anyway. We're a same-sex couple so we tried to cover every single base we could with our evidence.

I included 2 notarized original letters from friends, but I was told that it didn't need to be notarized from an immigration lawyer friend.  I've read from my boards that affidavits are not as important, but I included them because I didn't have mortgage or car documents either. I included joint health insurance cards though.

I think you can be creative and include anything and as long as you have any type of proof, and they will take them into consideration.

BTW, my package arrived in Vermont today in the morning, one day earlier than originally expected date.  I hope that I will get NOA soon.  Goooood luck everyone and happy Monday to you all!!!

I think they are examples and if you are short on other proofs and don't have anything more stringent, then you should probably include them. Each to their own, for sure, but I just think the likelihood of getting an RFIE for not including them where more compelling evidence is provided is very unlikely, and that seems to be a view many here take.

Hello,

My husband and I are also February 2018 Filers.

Just a quick question, I was filling-up Form I-751 via pdf. Adobe acrobat and some pages are linked. Example

Part 1: Information Conditional Last Name, Given Name, Middle Name "Alex S. Villanueva"

Linked

Part 7 : Acknowledgement of appointment at USCIS Application Support Center

Auto fill in as appreciation:       A.S Villanueva

Is this correct? I tried to edit it but it seems Secured block and cannot be edited?

Appreciate your kind response.

Thank you

Aevi

I had the same issue and even the samples showed the same.  I ended up somehow not making it autotype, but I couldn't manually type in, so I printed it out and handwrote our names...

Hello everyone, I submitted my ROC on 2-5 and they received it on 2/7 and I haven't received my NOA1 yet.

I'm a little worried because I had forgotten to change the address with USCIS when we moved a year ago however I did change the address with the post office.

When I was checking everything for the ROC I put the new address in the current address and the old address on the additional information sheet.

I'm worried that they will send the reply to the old address and if they do I'm not sure how I can check since I live far away from there now.

Is there a number to call where they would tell you whether or not something has been sent out or is there a way to check?

Thank you

Thanks for the information..

Actually I did checked 2 version of this software. If you try to download directly in Chrome it will open pdf. but this copy is under direct online.  Type information needed also allows like "/". but when you reach you reach Part 7 it will not allow you to populate/type information in the box cause of the secured link. To be able to type in same site at the upper right "click printer icon", "Open pdf Preview". All Information had been initially filled out you can edit under Open pdf Preview and add the names to be populated in the secured linked also.

I think this is just for security purposes and version of the form being updated.

I do understand as well handwritten as long as no erasure.

Thanks :)

Most here seem to open the PDF in Chrome and edit directly from there. The auto form-fill can be a bit annoying, so definitely feel you can leave some tabs blank and fill them in with a pen/marker when you've printed it.

I would imagine they will use the address you provided on the I-751 form, but it's definitely a good idea to submit AR-11 (which you can do online) and I-865 (submit in writing).

https://www.uscis.gov/ar-11

https://www.uscis.gov/i-865

But, lots of people don't, and there doesn't seem to be any punishment for not doing so,  it's just a good idea to do it. I myself wasn't even aware we needed to file it and only filed it two weeks ago just prior to submitting our I-751. We've been in our new house 18 months and you'll find that many here do it long after the fact. I just told them in the form that we overlooked sending it in. Received NOA yesterday for that and all was good, see sample below.

By the way, where did you file? So I can add you to our tracking list.
