Recommend you read a few of the past pages for more information, yes, California is not moving and we're trying to establish why/when it will.

Thanks! Yeah, i did check previous pages and VSC given dates and some of them already done Bio-metrics but CSC not even single date came out for Bio-metrics so i'm very curious so thought of checking..Thanks again!

Thanks for letting us know. Good luck with those appointments. Based on this, it's looking most likely that all Vermont filers are now in receipt of scheduled biometrics appointments, or shall be by weeks end.

Quick Question - Is NOA1 like  receiving RECEIPT NUMBER? and Do we get Bio-Metrics Date in the Receipt number letter itself or we get separate letter for Bio_metrics?

Correct, you'll get a case number and your expired green card will be extended (with that notice) for a further 1 year. The Biometrics appointment letter typical follows after. More info here.

However, as you can see the vast majority of Vermont filers have those biometrics appointments scheduled, but California is totally backed up, no movement on those cases ranging all the way back to November 2017 filers.

You will get a separate letter for biometric appointment in a month or more depending on where you file.

the receipt NO1 is, receipt and a one year extension of your green card, keep the letter safe, very save.

Thanks! it's California center. good know NOA1 is receipt number because seems like everything is slow processing at CSC,  I'm submitting application I-751 like 30 days before of GC expiring. So I'm hopeing i get receipt number before GC expire.

Thanks for the info!    Ohhh, no movement from NOV 2017 in California for Bio-Metrics ? OMG. not sure how long they take to Approve or RFE if things go like this. Will see

Hi All,

Just a quick update. Like many of you here as well as in different filing months received a message from USCIS saying "At this time USCIS cannot provide you with information for your case" I received the same. But I checked few hours later and that is what I got.

Just an update for all:

Sent my documents 2/10/18 , got NOA 2/19/18,  Biometrics taken 4/4/18 .

Hi all,

Went to the DMV here in NJ to renew my license as my GC expires 5/10/18. They extended for another year until 5/10/19 without a problem.

Same here NJ

Went to renew my license at the DMV in CA and they gave me a license until my birthday in 2022. I did have a new RealID license though with my Green card, but they would only renew it to a 'normal' license with the i-797 extension letter.

So I just started following this thread. They received my application 2/12/18, notice date is 2/15/18. Haven’t received a biometrics appointment yet, and I can’t see the status of mine online. Called and they can’t see the status either. Was told I have to talk to an immigration officer and she tied to transfer me but couldn’t for some reason and told me there was nothing she could do until I called back and talked to an officer. Pain in the butt. Anyone else dealing with this?

If anyone is getting frustrated in seeing the following....

Validation Error(s)
You must correct the following error(s) before proceeding:

  • My Case Status does not recognize the receipt number entered. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance, please call the USCIS Contact Center at 1-800-375-5283.

I found that you can sign up and track your case (using the i-797 receipt number that isn't recognized on the case status page) using https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/

At least you can have piece of mind in seeing...

We received your biometrics fee and will begin processing your case

Read the notice we mailed you for more information about how we will process your case

while you wait for the biometrics appointment letter...

Same here, but I think is too early to keep checking and checking on the case, my next check will be in December
