I was browsing through the January 2018 filers thread and a few of them reported seeing the same message that a few of us have had, one of them called up and spoke to a tier 2 rep who said it is/was likely a system glitch.

Yeah it's most likely a glitch or they're doing maintenance. Happened frequently during our K1 journey.

sooooo I went creeping on December 2017 filers thread again and noticed two things, while many of the CSC filers got their BIO appointments in the beginning of January the rest of them who filed closer to the end of December have yet to receive their BIO appointments, however! there is one filer from the end of December group who got their BIO appointment done on February 22nd.... promising?

Another thing I saw is that some of them, those without BIO appointments, have received a notification recently (beginning of April) that their case was moved to the local office and one even got a letter from their local office (not from CSC) that they will be scheduled once there are spots available for BIO appointments and I have heard a rumor that once cases are moved to the local offices the second Green Card is very near, I wonder if our cases will be sped up this way?

It also seems that many of us around the same time received the notification that USCIS can not provide us with the information for our case.

Finally, one more thing, there is a January 2018 CSC filer who is going to try and walk in for their BIO appointment tomorrow and says will report on the January 2018 filers thread what happened.

Hi guys! It’s been a while! Hope everyone is well!

Filed 02/01/2018 delivered and signed next morning.

Notice date 02/02/2018.

(This is also my 2 year mark on my greencard) so we filed on the 89th day.

❓My question is, (CSC), what is the time frame for biometrics appointment? 🤔

We also called and were told processing time is 17-19 month on these currently, SO, with that being said, and I’m gonna word this carefully:

as of 02/02/2018 is exactly 2 years of being greencard holder, meaning at 3 years you are eligible to apply for Natiralization, right?

==> Can you apply for naturalization since you are in status as greencard holder for 3 years even if you haven’t heard back yet about 10-year greencard?

Omg I hope it makes sense. Like by the time they get around to it enough time will pass that I can apply for naturalization type thing. Unless you HAVE to have the conditiones removed before you can proceed, which would also make sense. Thank you for all your input! 🤗

I filed at the end of Feb and got NOA with a Notice Date of 02/27/2018. Check has been cashed and now playing the waiting game once more.

Can you add me to the thread please?

Back to the USCIS grind again after two years of peace.

I got an update :) See below.

Receive date: 03/22/2018

Notice Date: 03/23/2018

Thanks for the update, you were the last remaining Vermont filer we hadn't heard had received their NOA1. Your biometrics should be on its way real soon based on other filers with similar timeframes.

Weren't you a little nervous filing so close to the deadline? :o I've added you to the tracking table. There's some good info in the prior 5 or so pages that gives an indication of timelines for biometrics. When you get chance, for the benefit of all the members here, please update your own timeline. Members use it to gauge how their cases will be processed with similar timelines to your own. http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=221566

So I've been gone for over a week on vacation and come back to over 200 new posts I missed on various topics.  I too am getting the USCIS cannot provide you with information for your case.  Still no CSC biometrics yet huh, that's disappointing.  At least most VSC people are making some progress.  Seems like waiting for that 3rd year and then applying for naturalization is the fastest way to go.  Keeping in good spirits though!

Found this in my in-box the other day;

We are still reviewing your case and there are no updates at this time

We will notify you when your case status changes. We last took action on your case on March 27, 2018.

No idea what the "touch" on March 27 could have been.

If this is of interest to anyone. Went to renew my Indiana drivers license today as it expires 05/10. They had no issue with accepting the extension letter but they told me I had to wait till 05/11. Which kind of stresses me out but it is what it is.

Go back and try another person. I got mine renewed without issue before my expiration date of my DL. I got mine renewed until 2025.  How would you get there on an expired license? Doesn't make sense for them to require that.
