I had this same fear. I posted threads on here that were removed by an admin, for some reason. So I saw a lawyer. I am NOT a lawyer. I can only tell you what the lawyer told me. He said it was no big deal. He said for the I-751, just be honest, and say where you've lived, why you've used other addresses (in my case it's because I use one address as my 'home base', always). I now file this form in the 30 day window like I'm supposed to (online, for both me and my spouse). But like I said, my prior lapse is supposedly no big deal, per my lawyer.

yeah that happened to me too. We filed our change of address (I-865) in February 2018 and moved in June 2016. My husband received the letter that they have received the change of address within a few weeks. I don't know if they are still going to come after him with the fine, hopefully not.

I filed ours just prior to starting this process (as only found out about it then). Received notification a few weeks later to say it had been updated, despite me being over a year late. They are pretty lenient it seems. Like you, I remember researching the consequences it at the time fearing the worst but have not seen any instances where people have got into any trouble. Definitely, a good idea to file, if for no other reason than to tick the box and cop to it.

Thank you all, that is reassuring! I sent it off today, hopefully we won't get fined. Of course one immigration stressor triggers all my USCIS stress so now I'm second guessing everything we sent with the I-751 :lol: :crying:

Hi All,

Just a quick update. Like many of you here as well as in different filing months received a message from USCIS saying "At this time USCIS cannot provide you with information for your case" I received the same. But I checked few hours later and that is what I got.

Just an update for all:

Sent my documents 2/10/18 , got NOA 2/19/18, Biometrics taken 4/4/18 .

Just checked my USCIS case file for CSC, and this popped out wherein before it just states "Fingerprint fee received". Anybody from CSC exleriencing this?

I, too, am getting the same message as a few of you. I suspect this means that our cases are being worked or possibly transferred. Something like this can turn into nothing but often means a status change or update is pending. Despite an obvious change in messaging, the "last updated" date (in the my cases section of USCIS tracking) remains the same as the previous update, which makes me think that this is not any sort of "real status update".

Per the note below, I don't think I'll call for now, will just wait it out for a while longer and see what happens. I do not think there is any reason to be alarmed by this, nor do I think anyone should panic that this has negative ramifications, it simply means to me that it has been "touched".

Based on the table dutifully maintained by @starsky, looks like the latest batch of VSC filers that got their biometrics appointment, received their NOA on 3/5. It looks like the next batch might be mine (with NOA received 3/10), I'm getting antsy hah.

I was browsing through the January 2018 filers thread and a few of them reported seeing the same message that a few of us have had, one of them called up and spoke to a tier 2 rep who said it is/was likely a system glitch.
