Don’t worry, mine was received on 2/26/2018, check not cashed, nothing in the mail. 

 

But am not worried, if you read other people’s time line, you will not be worried most checks was cash between 10 - 14 days of packaged received.

Hi all Feb filers. 

My ROC package was delivered on Feb 26th to the CSC location. Everyday I check my bank to see if that check was cashed. Good luck everybody! I just hope it doesn't take a ridiculous amount of time for the whole process. I have a friend who filed her ROC last year in March and still has not received her GC.

JBEdge I wouldn’t put hope on this thing to get done quick, for you not to be disappointed put a 2 year time frame... for it to be resolved or apply for n400 when available

All my friends received their between 13-15 months.

 

i just want to get my receipt, do the fingerprint and I will stop 🛑 thinking 🤔 and wondering. I will just close my mind. The more you think about it the more it takes longer.

Way things are moving slower for CSC - what happens to traveling / working when your 1-year extension since I-751 NOA also expires?

Mine was also delivered on the 26th but to the CSC. Check not cashed as of this morning. I'm Brazilian too btw.

Hey all! I posted this on the March group, but this one seems to be more active atm - can someone give me advice on my packet? I'm looking to submit it soon - I actually posted in here earlier on but waiting for my transcripts pushed me into the March timeframe.  Thank you!

 

I'm at the end of putting together my packet, and I need some advice on if what I'm including is enough.   I decided to avoid putting info about our car lease since we got it under my mom's name and my name (hubby didn't have a job at the time, so couldn't sign onto the lease).  Is there more I can add? Really trying to avoid an RFE. Edit: packet weighs about 5 lbs right now...lol

 

So far, we have:

-Copies of marriage certificates from the US and France

-Apartment leases 

-Renter's insurance

-Energy Bills (this doesn't span our marriage, I realized this late in the game and added him a year later)

-Driver's Licenses showing joint residence

-Tax transcripts and W-2's for the past 2 years

-Personal property tax receipt

-Monthly joint bank statements from marriage to present

-Picture of our 3 different credit cards 

-Quarterly American Express credit card statements

-Joint health insurance for 5 months (this was while I was working; we are now on separate insurances because I'm still under 26 and on my parent's plan)

-AAA declarations certificate, insurance cards 

-AT&T family plan

-Photos & travel itineraries

Hi! Im so jealous almost all of you are getting Noa1 faster. Sent mine on feb 12, they received it on 13th. Cashed my check on 22nd. Until now i didn’t get any NOA1. Csc filler here. Any inputs? Thank you!

You will go to immigration office for them to stamp your passport. With that you can travel and work and renew your drivers license. 

 

My my friend got his green card after 13 months after filling. 

 

So so I have taken my mind off mine,

 

my check is is not cashed talk of receiving NO1, by all the same am not worried, I don’t even want to think 🤔 about it.

 

we are all in the same soup.

I will say that my packet was over 2.2 pounds, so you seem to have a lot of info in yours at 5 pounds, I'd say at least double mine.  Don't forget to have two people write affidavits stating they've known you since your marriage and how they know the marriage is legit.  There's more info about it on the I-751 instruction sheet.  As for the car purchase, did he sign any paperwork about ownership of the car or his name on the title anywhere?  If so throw a copy of it in.  We also put in copies of our pay stubs which happen to show our home address on them when we get them, just another proof of joint living together.  Do you have any sort of joint retirement fund, IRA, 401K, anything like that listing the spouse as the main beneficiary?  We had one and threw that in too.  For the travel itineraries, if you kept your boarding passes that's also good to have a copy in there along with the itineraries.  It sounds like you have most everything in order.  I'd provide a list of everything we sent in for reference but I'm not at home with my copy of the paperwork right now.

No problem.  A quick check on the I-751 instructions though showed something I think is important: https://www.uscis.gov/system/files_force/files/form/i-751instr.pdf

 

Page 4 and 5: Evidence of the Relationship, "The documents should include, but are not limited to, the following examples:"  "5.  Affidavits sworn to or affirmed by at least two people who have known both of you since your conditional residence was granted and have personal knowledge of your marriage and relationship. (Such persons may be required to testify before an immigration officer as to the information contained in the affidavit.) The original affidavit must be submitted and also contain the following information regarding the person making the affidavit: his or her full name and address; date and place of birth; relationship to you or your spouse, if any; and full information and complete details explaining how the person acquired his or her knowledge. Affidavits must be supported by other types of evidence listed above."

 

I take that to mean that the five things they listed are required, as well as anything else you could provide to support evidence of the relationship.  I honestly would rethink about doing them if I were you.  It seems required with how I am reading it and would hate for there to be an RFE (not to mention a big delay) because of it.

I've never heard of anyone getting an RFE for affidavits - USCIS usually wants to see more financial commingling.  Anyway, thank you for your opinion, but I've decided not to do them.  Many VJers do the same and are approved.
