It disappointing and frustrating to know people from Feb 2018 are still waiting on their I-751s. I am June 2018 filer and still waiting, thought we are the only unlucky ones . With USCIS Processing times getting increased every month, feeling so helpless.. CSC time shows wait up to 23 months now.

Hope everyone who isn't still waiting for I-751 approval is progressing well with your N-400 applications (if that's the route you're going), I received news today my interview is scheduled for Feb 10th. Happy with that result as Houston is one of the busiest local offices in the country it seems. The end of this journey is finally in sight. 5 years later!

So happy for you starsky! I hope it goes well and that your oath ceremony gets scheduled quickly. We were in the same boat up here in Minneapolis, another of the slowest field offices in the country, but I'm happy to report that as of yesterday, my wife's journey is complete. She attended the oath ceremony with 500+ other new citizens in St Paul and we are finally done with this, a little over five years since we filed the I-129F.

For those of you still waiting on I-751s/N-400s, I still get these email notifications and am definitely rooting for everything to go well and to get done soon.

Just got back from the N-400 interview. It was interesting.

Interview was easy enough, she was ready to approve me on the spot until she saw my ROC was still pending. She gave me the following reason.

My original F129 envelope never made it into my file until about a week ago. She said that was the only thing holding me up and that as I was the last interview of the day, she would approve the ROC for me after I left and than the N-400 would be approved right after that. I did notice that my file was about 3 times thicker now than what it was during my ROC interview.

So now I'm waiting on approval notifications and the ceremony letter (I did get an "recommending N400 approval" notice from her)

Congrats!  The wheels of the bureaucracy sometimes move mysteriously slow.  When we went for my wife's original AOS interview we found out that the State Dept. lost some of her file.  We had to get another physical & a police report.  We also didn't have joint banks accounts because the state of Illinois office we went to refused to issue her a state ID because her K-1 Visa was only valid for 90 days.  We had a court certified copy of our marriage certificate that they said "meant nothing" to them.  After the interview we went to the downtown Chicago office that Immigration Officer said would issue the state ID and then got our bank accounts straightened out.  After that things went fairly quickly and she got her approval.  Now that she's a citizen it all seems like a distant memory, but it is quite stressful when going through the process.  We're very happy for you.

This was the second part of the file that went missing. All original evidence submitted for the AOS and ROC went missing as well, resulting in an RFE for the ROC. When we went in for that interview the had also lost my wife's divorce decree (I had a copy with me thank god). It looks like someone dropped the file at some point. I noticed the file during both the ROC and the N400 interviews and it was literally 3 times thicker for the N400.

Well look at that, I did beat you in the end. Got my 10 year card 1 week after the N-400 interview and the current status of the N400 is "waiting for oath schedule" So you can still try to do one of those New England come backs. Good luck!!
