Hi I'm in the same boat, however I did have a RFE which I sent back early May, when did you apply ROC and when does your letter expire? Mine expires end of Sep.

I applied end of Feb, the 18 month extension of my green card expires in November. I tried to submit an out-of-processing request online, but it still tells me it's within processing time. I called for an info-pass a while ago and they told me to call within 30 days of expiration.

At this point, I just hope they haven't lost my ROC application since I've heard absolutely nothing LOL

Wow, can't believe the way we great treated, they have made it virtually  impossible for us to make any sort of enquiry with our cases either on the phone or online, its just incredible, they  continue  getting away with this ####### service, but i suppose people just have to swallow it and keep quiet, hoping they get through the system.

The whole system is a shambles and should be brought up to date with the real world.

Finally my good news, I got a notice my interview has been scheduled! yay!

Congrats! I think I am in the same situation. I filed for I-751 in February of 2018, then February 2019 for N--400.

Filed to Vermont, then It was transferred to Texas a year later, and this July to Missouri.

I am still waiting. When I log in to my account it says that Estimated time of completion (N-400) is 26 days. Did you end up getting the estimated time to 0 and then they scheduled your interview? Based on my calculations and people sharing their stories for Newark, NJ office I should be getting something this or next week.  I am assuming it will be a combo interview. God knows. I am very frustrated. I travel a lot and this traveling with a letter is very annoying.

Yes, the remaining time for me actually went past the estimated time, so first it went all the way down to zero, and then the message changed to something like "we are taking longer to process your case". I'm confused why my simple case took so long but it could just be the Boston office, hopefully yours won't be as long.

Does anyone know what's gonna happen if my 18 month extension letter expires? I only have 2 months left until it happens. I am in the process of starting a new job and they all look at me weird when they see my extension letter. I have applied for N400 but I don't know have any updates yet

You can get a stamp at your local USCIS office.

Thank you for your respons. I checked online and it looks like they don't accept any appointments.

You have to call USCIS......I don't think any offices allow online appointments any longer.

Im in the same boat, mine expires the end of Sep....you can make an online enquiry but only if outside what they determine normal processing time. And I'll probably have to call up USCIS to try and get an appointment for a stamp.

I searched everywhere for a situation like mine and didn't find any conclusive or recent posts, so decided to post my story/complications.

Applied I-751 Feb 2018

One year extension March 2018

Biometrics reused May 2018

18 month extension August 2018

Approval letter for I-751 Feb 2019

But.... no green card ever came. On both new and old sites no update about approval or card either.

On approval letter, specifically said I should not travel until I receive green card. I had to wait 60 days for inquiry about not getting green card.

Contact USCIS by calling and online requests 4 separate times. Every single time, told me I was approved and that they sent for card production. Always told me to wait for 45 days for card to come before making another inquiry. Last online inquiry (end of July 2019), they said that they were "unsure why my card has not been printed, must be missing bad/data, my case has to be sent back to I-751 unit for review"

So 6.5 months later and still no card (end of August 2019), sent letters to my 2 senators and then 2 weeks later to my congressman. No reply from senators after 2 weeks, congressman replied quickly and efficiently. Right after his response, I got an update on old USICS case status site that card was being mailed out. I don't think the card got printed because of my contact with the 2 senators or 1 congressman, but coincidental.

I wasn't hopeful about anything until I had green card in hand and that all information on card was correct (which it was).

Anyways, that's my story. So this does happen apparently - where you get the letter, but no green card (which is the important part!). I can only imagine if I did not get the letter and just *waiting* for my green card because of their designated time line. I would never have known there was a printing error. Also to note, I will not be applying for N-400, so that was never apart of the equation.

Good Luck to everyone still waiting!

Congratulations on finally receiving your Green Card.  When things like this happen the stress level rises exponentially, but only those who are going through or have gone through the process can truly understand what it feels like.  Glad you're over the hump.

You do not need a green card or extension letter for a job application. They can run your details through the SAVE system (I think that's what it is called) on your social security number. That will give them the ok.

Decided to check the USCIS sites again today. Figured I might a well do this on occasion.

Old site is now returning no info (last one was they had received my RFE and it never even showed the interview)

The new one is happy to report the received my I-751 application from back in 2018.

It's ok USCIS. It's not like I really want to visit my parents.
