My case was received at CSC on 2/20/18 and I haven't heard anything until now and I finally got biometrics notice!!! Notice date was 6/14 and biometrics appointment is on 7/2. However USCIS website(old&new both)is not updated yet. It is still showing "Unable to provide my information" or "Case was received on 2/20/18". I hope I can get my green card before my extended green card is expired(9/30) but I am not sure it is possible..

Yikes, we're in the same boat as you with when we sent our stuff in and at the CSC. I'm nervous as heck seeing these biometrics requests come in because we are leaving for Canada in about 3 weeks and won't be back home for 10 days during that trip. I'm so nervous it will show up right before our trip or during. Anyone have any experience with rescheduling these? Is it not a good idea to do that? I feel like that's one of those "only in an actual emergency" things...

We rescheduled biometrics on a different stage of the process. I think it depends on your local office and how busy they are. It added a month onto the process, partly, I think, because the only way to reschedule is to return that form they send you with your appointment by snail mail and knowing government offices, it likely sits in a bin somewhere before it gets picked up to deal with it.

Can you search and see if anyone has experience with walk ins at your local office?  Sometimes if you take your letter with you and you're willing to suck up the wait for a few (or many) hours you can get it done early.

Still nothing on my wife's I-751, but she did receive her interview notice for the N-400. July 25th. We will try to make sure they know about the pending ROC so they can do a joint interview if necessary.

Did she select permanent resident for over 3 years when applying for N-400?

I am about to apply and am wondering what to select as technically we are not permanent resident but conditional residents.

If you're not a permanent resident, you should not apply for N-400.

My I-751 is still pending so I am still a conditional permanent resident like everybody else who is still waiting. The N-400 application does not give option for conditional residents but I guess everyone just selects permanent resident and hopes for them to combo the processes

Hi Guys. After not getting any updates since I received the extension letter I finally received a biometrics letter. I got tired of waiting and filed for n400 at the beginning of june. Now i have 2 biometrics dates. One for i751 and one for n400. Does anyone know if i have to go both times?

I guess we're not worried about it extending the process really, I'm just worried if it's like some unspoken rule that you don't reschedule that stuff, like it will screw us over or something. The hard part about "walking in", is that depending on what office they send us to, it's 2.5-4 hours away, and I don't see anywhere where they guarantee to see you if you just walk in, so I'm skeptical to take a day off work and make that trip just to get turned away,.

Oh wow, that long drive to your 'local' office would definitely have me reconsider a walk in. Ours is an hour away and although we were annoyed when we were sent away a few years ago when we tried a walk in, at least it wasn't a whole day in the car to get there and back. Try doing a search for your local office and see if you can find what other peoples experiences are with walk ins.  Also look for time of day that is best - when we went for our walk in it was first thing in the morning and they told us if we wanted to try for a walk in we were better off coming mid to late afternoon. We weren't able to wait around so we left and just attended our scheduled appointment later that month. If I had done my homework on time of day maybe we would have got lucky.

Checked online today, it said on June 25th they transferred the case to the local office for an interview to be scheduled and that we'd receive a notice in the mail. Since we received the N-400 letter on Monday the 24th, I'm guessing the date on this notice will be the same as the N-400 (for a joint interview) or we will have two separate dates. Either way, a little update for us.

Hello All,

I had my interview last Wednesday June 26th, and It was combo. The officer went through I-751 first with too much of silly questions, then N-400, and civics / English exam. At the end the told me that they will send me N-14 requesting more documents (W2 even I have tax return for the last 4 years and proof that the person I rent my place from he is the owner of the house).

Does any one has this experience, and know how long will it takes?

After getting an RFE in Feb 2019, I sent more evidence (a lot more)  back by the deadline of May 9th , which they have acknowledged.

I then received a letter last week with a new appointment for 12th July for more biometrics, even though they said they were reusing mine from before (AOS) I'm thinking that they can only reuse biometrics up to a certain date!

I was in Jacksonville for the day on business, so I though I would try a walk in,  they allowed me to and did my biomertics in less than 15 minutes no problem, so that hopefully will bring my approval closer, please wish me luck.

BTW where are you Starsky, I was hoping you would update the table !

Did you go in early in the day?  I'm planning to do try a walk in too.
