Hi,

Like I updated a week ago, I saw my case was approved on 4/18 on case tracker/web. 

So, here is update.

I received approval actual mail notice on 4/23

& I received Green Card by USPS on 4/24

I hope it helps to anyone waiting for the actual letter/ card.

 

@starsky I really really thank you. Because of this forum, I was able to ask and got some idea as well as relief and comfortable with everyone in the same situation. It was very nice of you to manage all of this and keep updating the list. 

If you are around sf area, I will treat you a coffee  If you give me any chance. hahaha.

 

And all of you who are still in this journey, please don't feel bad and stay strong for little bit more. 

You are almost there. At the end, you all will have a good news.

It just takes time. Sometimes it is a little early, and sometimes it is a little late.

Received an update on my case status today saying “New Card is being produced”

 

I can finally go get my drivers license (haven’t driven in 2 months). I had not applied for the N400 and my case was transferred from California to Nebraska in March.

Congrats Starsky!  We've always felt a bit sad that you were maintaining the chart and waiting so long for approval.  Glad your wait is over and wondering if you'll be submitting an N-400?  We submitted ours online and had the biometric done within a month.  Another filer from the same office submitted their application after us, got their biometric completed, and received an interview notice a day later.  We still haven't heard about our interview date, but understand that sometimes there's no rhyme or reason to the way things move in the system.  The only fly in the ointment is we'd like to do some international traveling, but don't want to miss an interview or deal with amending the travel history we've already submitted.

You are all so very kind, thank you all of you for your congratulations, it has truly been my pleasure to keep the tracking table updated. It has given me the faith to stick with the process as much as I am sure it has for you all. It's helpful and reassuring to see any progress made in these processes and while I've grown a little impatient, not once was I disappointed it wasn't me who got an approval. I knew it would eventually come and that's something I'd try to seed in the rest of you guys who are waiting. The day will come. Honestly, I think we've had one of the most reliable reference points here on VJ in some time, as you all have been very forthcoming with updates, so thank you for making my job pretty easy!

 

To the questions about whether I will file N-400, the answer is yes. I resisted the urge to file it already as I'd just like to wait until I have the card physically with me before I do. Being located in Houston, I hear that I am in for a very long wait, so while I realize I am 4 months behind where I could have been, I still don't regret waiting to file N-400. I am less fussed about waiting for N-400. The scrutiny while traveling (yes, it depends where you go) was the main "stress" of being in limbo waiting for ROC.

 

Updated tracking table is below. CSC is now at 75% approval, with VSC at 46%.

Congrats to our fearless leader and all the other minions, with the approvals.

I got a little fun fact for ya'll. Apperently, after reading the RFE very, very thoroughly, the have either managed to loose my entire submitted evidence package, or they were not happy with it and threw it all out.

The list of "submitted evidence" on the RFE are all things I had submitted for the AOS (not all of it either) and nothing that I submitted for the ROC.

Tax returns, bills, statements. Nothing is there.

 

Good thing I kept a back-up copy of the package (O....Wait......I did not #$##%#@@!). So searching and printing are about half way done.

 

Also the Mrs came up with an awesome little piece of paper for the health insurance. the 1095 form. It shows everybody covered per month on one piece of paper.

It is so frightening to hear something like that.  It is not the first time people have reported that USCIS doesn’t find anything they have sent in with the package, and then they put the accountability on the applicants, although we have done everything by the rules.

That is ridiculous. I’m still waiting for my RFE letter to come, it has been 4-5 days since I got the notice online. It has not arrived yet. I hope they didn’t lose all of the documents i sent and not asking for the whole package. How long did it take for your letter tom come in after you received the notice online? Thank you.

I will send all of our tax returns (4 years), my 401K statement where my wife is the beneficiary, probably the lease, car title copy with both our names, car insurance cards for our 2 cars with both our names and credit card statement. What do you guys think, is that enough? And do i include a letter why we have a joint account but have very little transactions there? I worked as an uber driver last year and had to open a separate bank account for us to be able to keep records of my income easily. Should we include that in the letter? Should We also get affidavits from couple of our friends? At this point YOUR support is crucial, friends! Please share your thoughts and suggestions. Thank you!!!

Figured you would see it soon. Did they just want the tax returns, or did they ask for all evidence. If they just want those 2 returns that is what I would sent. If they want all relative evidence, send it all.

I did not include a letter, they did not ask for one, they asked for evidence. My thought is to provide what they want, not my interpretation of what I think they might need.

And yes the paper is yellow. DO NOT FORGET TO REMOVE THE STAPLE AND RETURN THE ORIGINAL INCLUDING THE COVER. (it's all the way at the bottom, but it's there).

As for your list, instead of the insurance card I went with a statement from the insurance company that gives a total time frame of the insurance. Same reason I went with the 1095 for the health insurance. It covers all years.

Car title yes, but also the registration/tax for it (it shows you owned and drove it for all these years). We just happened to get a citation in the mail for a red light cam. it shows both names and the address so in it went.

Got a joint account, add it. No reason to explain why you do not use it a lot (my opinion, again that is what the ask).

I did not include the affidavits as I heard they are not worth the paper they are written on and getting them made, signed and notarized would take me to long. (I have to get the N400 done asap so I went head and changed it on that one).

Do not forget pictures of drivers licenses if not stated you already submitted them. They are official, got both names and matching address on it.
