I-751 February 2018 Filers

Great way to begin the week; we received our I-797 dated 02/21/2018.  Now for the long wait and hoping they have everything they need to issue the unconditional card.  Best of luck to everyone out there who are also on pins and needles.

Received Date 2/14 & Notice Date 2/20.

Sent package on 12 arrived CSC on 14.

It seems like between the pending I-751, "90 day rule," and online N-400 application that there are a lot of variables to consider for us next year. What are your thoughts, @starsky?

As I mentioned, a lot of folks decide to start their N-400 as soon as they are eligible because that was their original intention, but many also see it as the means, and indeed reality, of being rid of the immigration process for good. According to what I have read on here from others who've been through the experience, N-400 adjudications can often speed up I-751 petitions, too. 

 

I've updated the tracking table from all those who posted earlier. It looks as if California hit a homer this evening with three new NOA1 receipts in one sweep. Certainly levels out the previous lead that Vermont filers had earlier in the month.

I think 🤔 it a good idea to file for N-400 early, the whole filing thing is tiring and you don’t know what you will get in the mail. REF or Approved.

 

 I think maybe I will file for N400 after waiting for 7 - 10 moths after my I-751 waiting game. But don’t know if I should wait for approval first. Confused 🤷🏻‍♀️ 

 

But all those I know waited for approval and new card in mail before they mailed their N400, 

since you have to attach a copy of your green card.

 

any luck with early N400 filers?

Do they send text/email updates for I-751? I included a g-1145 form with my petition but not sure if that will help

I also did, but read some reviews that g-1145 is for when you file at a lockbox. 

 

So I think they will just pass it by, I have been checking to see if they cashed my check.

I also filed a g-1145 and received nothing from it.   I see where people sent from 2 to 5 lbs of evidence.  Mine is probably only a 1 lb, but I'm not worried about it.

On the USCIS website under the information on the g-1145, it can only be used at 3 lock box addresses and Laguna isn't one of them

You guys want to make sure you've created a USCIS online account. While you're at it, download the case tracker app for your phone.  Once you receive your NOA1 you'll want to log that case number in the online account and/or on the case tracker app. From there you can set-up email/text notifications or (if you're like me) periodically check it to see if any progress has been made or the case has been touched at all. FINALLY!!  We received our NOA1 yesterday (2/26). The letter stated it was received on the 20th which is crazy since I mailed it on the 8th. Anyway not complaining, we got it!

My receipt number from extension letter yesterday was not recognize, but when I checked this morning, it was saying my application i-751 was transferred to local office.

I guess VSC and CSC are overwhelmed with many applications that's why they moved the application to the local office, which i believed will also affect and it will slow down the process of N-400.

The case tracking app is very good have been using it for all my cases
