Great news both of you, congrats! Superb news to get one of our first transferred filers to Nebraska approved! I hope mine and the others are not too far behind!!

I am WAC180925, 30 ahead.

I am 10 behind you at WAC180925. Although, I am not sure there is much logic to any of the sequencing. Sorry to hear about the RFE, although as we have seen with those who received them previously, the turnaround for approval is typically pretty quick once you send them what they have requested. Good luck!

Congrats to you, another VSC filer to be approved is great news indeed.

Welcome! Looks like your questions are already handled, but just to say that historically, we have seen that folks should send as much as you can to avoid another RFE. If they are asking for something specific, best to send it all, even if you have previously sent it.

Thank you for your kind words, I am unable to find if I need to send 1 year of joint bank transaction that I have and explain the reason to officer on letter or second option  just add my spouse to my bank account as a beneficiary, if I go this way will it fulfil the purpose as it would also show the date when she is added into account.

I am 180915, how many ahead.does that make me?  I never understood the Case Tracker method, as discussed before. I always check the Case Tracker app though, there were cases approved before me, there were cases approved after me in my 500 search list for all the Removal conditions. 😓😓

I got an update on friday that a new card is being printed :) Yet to get a new card but excited to see the end of this wait time. Will now apply for N400 next week :)

Thank you for everything folks, this group has been very helpful in any discussions and I hope all of the February filters see their new green (are they blue now?) cards very soon.

VSC filler, did not get transferred so they are definitely moving along as we see more people through the Vermont Office.

Checked the mail this morning, I saw the letter from USCIS and opened it to find my approval notice dated 4/9/2019! When I got back to the apartment I opened another envelope that had my 10 year green card inside, wooohoo! The wait is over! So glad to have this card before I have to go in to renew my drivers licence again.

Hi Guys,

I've been reading for many months; thanks so much for all the helpful info!  My husband and I filed our I-751 in January 2018.  We thought everything was smooth sailing until we received a notice that our case was transferred from Vermont.  We thought it was due to the caseloads but today we received a notice that we were transferred to Missouri and that an interview will be scheduled.  We are confused.  We did the K-1 VISA and had an interview at the US Embassy in my husband's home country then we sent the full package after we got married in the US (November 2015).  He received his conditional without an interview.  When we sent the package for the ROC, we included all of our financial records.  Our attorney advised that this second package was more financial than personal so we did not include any more photos of trips (20+ trips in US and abroad) or affidavits upon their advice.  Do you think this could be the reason for the request for the interview?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

If you have not been interviewed together as a couple during I-485, you have a higher chance of being selected for a routine interview for I-751.  This is true for almost all K-1 visa holders.  Most K-1 applicants received an interview waiver during I-485 because the non-US citizens were already interview abroad at the Consulates, but the sponsoring US citizens have not yet been interviewed at all during the entire process.

This new rule was put in places by the current Administration and the rule requires 100% of all I-751 cases filed on or after December 10, 2018 to be interviewed IF the US citizens have not yet been interviewed.  Although the rule is not supposed to impact those filed I-751 before 12/10/2018, the adjudicating officers still can refer any case for an interview for various reasons from routine to fraud suspicion.

That was a very bad advise from your attorney. Usually, they send an RFE. In your case the IO must have decided not to send an RFE but recommend you for an interview. You always front load as much as evidence as possible. I wouldn’t worry too much about it, make sure you carry all the evidence as stipulated in the USCIS website for ROC. Good luck and godspeed.

I couldn't tell you, but @GBOS who's something of an authority might be able to; he/she did a lot of research on it.

The approval letter came in the mail yesterday for my husband.  It was dated April 11th.

Congratulations!

Updated tracking table is below. Busy few days for Vermont filers, we jumped from 29% approved to 40% all of a sudden. Hoping to see some more of those who were transferred out of either Vermont or California getting approvals this week.

Timeline

@bonzaigirl - No one can give you the answer.  Only the officer who your file is assigned to knows how he/she wants to work the sequence.  They are usually given a specific amount of time (1 month or longer depending on the number cases assigned) to “take action” on these cases.  The actions include RFE, approval, and denial (not easy to do).

I have theories on it, but none of them seem to apply uniformly, so no working theory.

Congratulation! Quick question, Did your whole case number change when you got transferred to Texas? or just first letter of your case number?
