Once you received the letter bout the RFE in the mail, how long did you take to send the info in to them and how long until they updated your account saying they got the response?

We received the RFE letter on February 28th in the mail. We mailed back our response ASAP and USCIS received it via tracking number on Monday, March 4th. The online portal was updated on Tuesday, March 5th. So it literally took them 1 day to update the portal once they received our response.

P.S. I haven't received any updates via email or text even though I am signed up for them. I found out all my updates by logging into my online portal account.

Yea, we just received an RFE on the online portal account today...no text or email, etc...I just happened to check and it showed up today.

Updated tracking table below. Congrats to those who received approvals in the recent days! There is an interesting cluster of folks toward the end of February filers all with approvals. It does make me think that California is now moving on to March 2018 filers. Does anyone have any insights on if there have been movements in any case transferred to NBC from either January or February 2018 filers?

Just did some 500 tracking on the case tracking app, and found out all the cases around me got transferred to another office except 4 i not received anything transferred notice or mail, so I think 🤔 i may or may not get transferred.

But it why would they transfer everyone and leave me out? Any ideas 💡👍🏽

Hi guys! Hope everyone is doing well and hears some good news soon!

I have a question since I'm so used to our little group I don't want to go to another thread. I wouldn't even know where to post this.

Do you know anything about the requirement of 6 month before your travel passport expires from your home country? Is it only for first greencard?

Or do you still need to have at least 6 month left before your naturalization?

Because mine expires in December so I'm trying to see if I would need to renew it before I start the process.

Thank you in advance!

No need to renew your passport for naturalization unless you plan to keep it and your country allows for dual citizenship. Most international travels, irrelevant of GC or citizenship, require your password be 6 months valid from your return date.

The RFE showed up. USCIS wants more evidence of good faith marriage...but lists all the stuff that i could provide as already entered....any ideas what else they could want?

@Tux_1987 - if you post a picture of your letter, we can help you decipher what they are really asking of you.

@Tux_1987 - if you post a picture of your letter, we can help you decipher what they are really asking of you.

Trying to upload but picture is too big. Gotta wait until I am back home

The RFE showed up. USCIS wants more evidence of good faith marriage...but lists all the stuff that i could provide as already entered....any ideas what else they could want?

What did you submit the first time? Some ideas just in case you missed something:

  • Bank statements for any joint accounts you have
  • 401k or Retirement fund with your spouse as your beneficiary
  • Credit cards that you have your spouse attached to
  • Medical insurance cards with both names on
  • Car insurance cards that have both names listed
  • Any loans you might have taken out together
  • Lease if you rent that has both of your names on
  • Christmas cards addressed to the both of you
  • Copies of your driver's licenses showing you both live at the same address
  • Tax transcripts from this years tax season
  • Copies of utility bills showing you paying for some bills and your spouse paying for another (e.g. my spouse pays for electricity while I pay for my phone)
  • Flight itineraries for any trips you've taken together, copies of passport pages showing you travelled together
  • Pictures of the two of you since you filed to now, dated and even better if they're on vacations you've taken.
  • Some people might suggest having a US citizen write a letter stating that they believe the two of you to be in a genuine relationship - make sure it's a friend and not a family member.
  • Any social media shout outs you've given to each other? Screenshot them and print them. Just an idea! I know someone went overboard and printed their entire messaging history (their application was a box, must have costed a fortune to put together and send!) but some choice messages could be worthwhile.

@Tux_1987 - Lease or Mortgage AND joint bank statements (quarterly, 4 statements a year) going back as far as you have. That should do the trick.

The important thing to note here is what they said that “the evidence lacks joint ownership of assets or property”
