How long does it take from when one gets the card being produced to actually receiving the Card? My card being produced notification is dated February 22nd. My approval notice is dated Feb 25th. I have a trip coming up on March 7th and i'll love to have my card in hand before then.

Thanks,

Just got notification that my card was mailed. I'm guessing I should get it in a few days. I'm so glad this is over. Citizenship soon

Green card arrived today!! For some reason I was expecting different kind of envelope lol. Im so glad this part of the process of over .

Here is my question tho ,

I always hired a lawyer to file my petitions.  I heard applying for citizenship is easy so I was wondering, if its Better to do it with a lawyer or just do it online by my self ? Thanks  in advance :)

Look at this way - this will be last time you'll hire lawyer for immigration purpose. Citizenship is ultimate goal and since u always hired lawyers, I assume peace of mind and no hiccup (if you left something off) is more important to you than $.

I always hired lawyer because I don't need to stress about questions which arise as you start filing petition. Plus my personal opinion / assumption is that, IOs don't look at every minute details in form when he knows this was filed by lawyer.

We've always filed everything on our own and haven't had any problems except for when we filed for the conditional Green Card and used a form that had just expired.  Refiled using the new edition of the form and it didn't seem to delay the process.  You can file the N-400 online or by mail.  Began gathering things to file and think we will do the online version because others have said it's pretty easy , straightforward., &  documents can be uploaded.  Best advice is to do what's most comfortable for you.  Congrats on receiving your Green Card!

Yeah it’s crazy! We were both just laying in bed watching TV and saw the notification appear on my screen. Then we both started screaming lol

hello everyone,

just an update:

they received my file back in 2018 Feb 15th. Yesterday I got a notification on case tracker app saying my green card was mailed. I contacted my attorney and asked if he can triple check.

After an hour, he called me back saying unfortunately they confirmed with him that this was a glitch they had in their system😑😭

when I went online and logged in to my account from the new uscis website, it still says" file was received" but no other update.  When I check the website that shows up on the tracking app, it shows that I should receive the card by March 13th.

Uscis told my attorney that my file hasn't been assigned to any officer (I'm hoping that they are wrong..but its probably true :( ) so this is most likely a glitch.

Ah I got so excite for a second...I still have a little bit of hope that I receive the green card soon and this wasn't a glitch.

Please let me know if you guys experienced something similar!

Yes, That make sense . I don’t wanna stress over it , wondering if I did things right or wrong... So, I guess it better to have it get done by a lawyer and have a peace of mind . Thanks

I heard it’s easy , but I’m to messy and I just feel like I won’t have the peace of mind if I get it done by my self . Especially after you told me I have to download the documents lol. I will hire a lawyer and get it done .

Thanks :)

@goodsoohe5919 a number of people including myself only got notified on the tracker app of card being mailed.  I'd honestly still expect it to come within a week or so like others have.

@Sean and Kristina and others today, congrats on approvals and cards mailed.

@starsky i haven't heard of this status update before, sounds very odd.  Is it possible it got sent to your local office for an interview?  I have heard from our USCIS officer in 2016 when we did our AOS interview that maybe 5% of I-751 cases go to interview.  The fact they are making you wait for the letter for more info makes me kind of think that way.  Just an opinion, either that or RFE.  Both bad thoughts but at least they did something.  I hope it is something easy to get going and get it approved quickly.

Just a moment ago, I received a text and email to say a new processing action was taken on my case. The email reads as below, but when I log-in to the OLD interface the same case transferred message appears (except Feb 4 is now Feb 6). The last updated date is today 2/27 rather than 2/4 as before. I am assuming that this simply means someone from USCIS touched my files, perhaps even transferred the case again, but as far as I know, my case is still in NBC after the first transfer on 02/04, despite it saying 2/6 as below.

Has anyone else had a similar notification? Or does anyone know what this may mean?

@starskyI received one early this afternoon too. The original date my case was transfered was Feb 4. Today, I received an email, text and from what was shown in the Case Tracker App that My case was moved again  but the date is now Feb 6. So I don't know if it's a glitch. But I do hope that we get some movement soon.

I think we were the few ones that got into the unlucky basket from WAC, as those who have filed either before us, or after us, have had some movement in their cases 😢😢😢
