We received the transfer notice letter today. Transferred from Vermont to Texas Service Center.

Hello everyone! 

 

I got a letter from USCIS today about my case being transferred to another office. I filed in Vermont and now Texas has jurisdiction over the case.

The letter says they did a preliminary review of the case so that’s why it was transferred, I hope this is good news.

By the way I filed I-400 on Feb. 10th as soon as my window opened.

Congrats to all that have been approved! I’m still waiting but have applied for citizenship online. Anyone know how accurate their estimate is for the N-400? My estimate is 13 months! But when I check the case processing time it says 4-10 months! 😮

Thank you. I have not filed for N400 yet mainly because we are going out of the country in a month or so for 3 weeks and I'm afraid they will call me in for something while I am out, so I will just wait until I come back to do it. Hopefully it will be smooth sailing. My window for citizenship did open a few days ago.

It seems to be like a lottery. I've heard it takes over a year but I recently saw someone approved in 3-4 months. I think it depends on the workload of the local office?
