Is anyone else's case transferred to Nebraska Service Center? Their current processing time for I-751 is 16-23.5 - I hope that's not from the date it got transferred but rather from the original filing date.

Also, my notice is dated 2/5/2019.

Two people with January 2018 also have recently received a similar letter.  You can go to January 2018 I-751 thread to read their post.

Seeing that line - "We transferred your case to the USCIS office listed below that has jurisdiction over your case," makes me think that the four service centers (CSC, TSC, NSC, VSC) have started to divided their jurisdictions geographically, and so cases are being transferred as a result of that.  This is just my opinion.  How they draw the jurisdiction never does make sense to me anyway.  Like when it was just CSC and VSC, Florida is under CSC.  I would seem easier to split the country in half, in the middle, for each service center.

I will definitely go through January 2018 filers thread. I have no idea what the logic behind all of this is. I guess the waiting shall continue :)

You will drive yourself insane if you try to figure out USCISs logic

Apparently quite a number of people do try to figure out, based on the posts we see here.

But seriously though, when cases are transferred, it should be done so to speed up the processing time.  So the cases filed later should be the ones getting transferred.

From what we hear, it is the ones filed first getting transferred then they work on what comes after that.

Great. I'm originally from CSC and their processing time is from 15-19.5 months. Right now they are working on July 2017 applicants. I just got the mail today that my case was transferred to Nebraska, and their processing times are even longer. 15-23.5 months and they are only working on May 2017 applicants. This is just so unfaair! I don't know whatever logic they are going through, but to prolong other people's anxiety, anguish... grrrr.. Sorry .. just had to vent.

20190211_154611.jpg

P.S. both the case tracker app and website were saying: "we cannot provide you with info at this time".

So don't get discouraged if yours says that. Good luck everyone!

I'm off to eat some sushi in celebration!
