I-751 February 2018 Filers

Hi everyone! We are hoping to be February 2018 filers, we will be mailing to VT office.

Currently in the process of filling out all the paperwork and gathering some further evidence.

When you sent the filing fee, did you write one check total?

"The filing fee for Form I-751 is $595. A biometric services fee of $85 is also required for petitioners."

^^^^ Or did you write two checks one for the 595 and a seperate fo the $85 or did you write one solid check for $680.00?

Don't worry - ours also opened last month (January 31st) and we are getting our stuff together now because of a crazy work schedule the last few weeks. After this we only have one more dance with USCIS

So I am sure I asked this question before, but I can't remember if I did or where.

We came in on a K1 and K2 visa so we need to do ROC for each of us. Is it two separate applications and two separate filing and biometric fees or does she go on my form and then we pay one filing and two bio fees ....? I can't seem to find the information in the guide or anywhere else for that matter. I know that USCIS sends stuff back if it's not exact - even if you overpay or give too much. Don't want to incur unnecessary delays. We've had plenty of those on this journey haha. Thanks so much for any advice you can offer.

Hi there! I recognise your profile from way back when I was applying for a K1 visa, nice to see you! Can't believe it's been 3 years.

Personally, I would try and contact USCIS with that question...seems reasonable to have one application but I can see USCIS being picky and wanting you to do two applications for two people/two GC's.

Got my NOA in the mail today ☺️. It read: Received 02/14/18 - Notice 02/15/18. SO EXCITED! I don’t know about everyone else but every little step of this immigration process is exciting. No matter how stressful it can be!

For everyone's cover letters; did you and your souse sign the bottom of it, and did you add your phone, address, email etc. I've seen some documents with all the personal information. But some with just a sincerly, name . The end.

I'm not following this completely? You're definitely within the normal window to receive your NOA1. Looking at the table of Feb filers, you're probably looking at late this week or early next for your NOA1.

63% of Vermont filers have received NOA1s so far compared to 53% with California. Draw what conclusions you will from that, but it does appear that California is a little slower vs. Vermont based on our small sampling.

One check is good, I would not increase the variables of there being an error by sending two. It's most common that people send one.

Now that's an interesting circumstance. No citizen spouse, then? I can't say I've seen such a guide, either. Interested in hearing what your next steps are.

Yay! Awesome. Another one for the Cali crew! Totally agree with you, receiving that extension letter was a big weight off our shoulders, too!

Yes, signed our names at the bottom and did add all of those details you mentioned. Better to be over-detailed than under! Also used the template for A# etc. at the very top of the cover letter.

And congrats mcfrl, great to see another one from California get their NOA1!

@starsky Oh, I'm so sorry. It's one of those weeks and I worded my post terribly! Yes, I have a USC spouse and we are very happily married lol. I just couldn't find anything on what happens when you brought over a child.

My hubby and I got married when I cam over on a K1 and we brought my daughter on a K2. So until now, we have done everything twice - once for her and once for me. For the original AOS she had her own separate application but was referred to on my application so the two were processed together. I hope that makes sense.

I could manage to change my appointment for Schengen visa to be on this Monday. The reason is I'm not sure if I will get my NOA1 letter in time by this Thursday to submit with my visa application. So from the current timeline hopefully I will get it by this Saturday.

Little late, I have been a bit busy. NOA came in around the 16th shows received the 9th and the check got cashed on the 13th.

I don't have it with me right now, but I am sure it is clearly stated in the instructions and the forms about what needs to be done for childeren that go to the ROC with you. Print out the instructions and go through them carefully it is in there.
