She only has 6 months to stay on the k1 visa so idk how she would be able to work like someone said.

The visa is effectively valid for up to 6 months from the date of the medical.

She has 90 days (3 months) of legal status upon entry on the K-1 visa. Once you marry in that time period and file for AOS, she has authorized stay while the AOS case is pending. She can only work once she has a valid EAD (and SSN), which is taking ~4 months to receive after filing for it alongside AOS.

Im not close with anyone in my family and none of my friends would do it....

We have 2 years after we met in person to file the k1 right?

Technically i make 20k a year $10 hour 40 hours a week.. But seems like there is always something we never get the full 40 hours. If we have 2 years it would give me time to figure something put and still visit there a few times...

What kind of assets matter? Would like a $4000 dollar car matter?

Do we have 2 years from when we met to file the k1 or 2 years from when we started talking?

You had to have met within the past two years to file the K1. They don’t care how long you talked.

So.theirs a time limit on the k1.. We have 2 years to file?

If you never visit again yes, clock starts all over every time you visit

must have met in the previous two years. So if you go tomorrow, then you have two years to file. If you visit again the next year, you have two years from that date.

I have know people who waited years to file a AOS after coming to USA on a K1.

Why? Some lacked funds, the others I don't know the reason

Isnt it illegal for her to stay here if we dont file the AOS

So, does everyone think its worth trying at the end of this year to do the k1 with a co sponcer as i will only make around 14k unless i try to work 2 jobs..

Also would it be best if i had my own place or live with my parents my father being the co sponcer?

Thank u for any good information weve learned alot from you guys

Here is my opinion.

If you are having that hard of a time making over 14K in the USA. Have your girlfriend in the Philippines file a spousal or fiancé type visa for you, Then you go to the Philippines and live.

Get there, get adjusted and live there and find work there and establish some type of business there.

Just when you think you have TDS eradicate,  a new case shows up.

It's a grey area.

Technically yes, but once you file the AOS then it isn't.

And if its denied because funds where do u need to restart? The AOS process im sure shell need to go home then restart the AOS
