I was a co sponsor in Philippines so that proves that is wrong.  Philippines has always been a case to case basis on CoSponsors.

For about the last two years, The embassy in Manila has not been asking for any support documents relating to work or showing proof of income or tax transcripts.

What do you mean they havent been asking to see income requirements?

But i still need to meet them to get her here and i will need my father to cosponcer that. As i think i will only make 14-16k this year.

Since the US embassy in Manila hasn't been asking for them as part of the required paperwork then it's not required.

There is no requirements on income to file for the K1.

For CR1 or Adjustment of status from K-1 you need to prove 125% of the poverty guideline for the size of the household

For my first K1 adjustment of status for my wife,  I used assets instead of income.

This was back a few years ago,  Do they not allow assets anymore?

Yeah well i only made 8k last year because i was incarcerated. :-(.. So need to make as much as i can this year.

Prob have her come on a tour visa then when this year ends start the k1 process. Plus i think meeting twice one of the times having her come here will help with the visa process..

Also do you guys think i should use a lawyer to help with the paperwork or something? I doubt ill get it all correct on my own
