Hi All,

I hope someone who has completed the form DS-260 can help me with some clarifications.

There is a question on DS-260 form that ask if my husband and child will be immigrating with me. They are both US citizens except me who is the applicant. We currently live outside US and will move to US once my visa is approved. We have no problem showing my husband has evidence to proof domicile too.

So, is it correct to answer "No" since they are both US citizen and not really "immigrating" but will be returning to US?

Thanks a lot!

We filled out the same today and yes, "no" should be the correct answer because everyone but you is a US citizen so they do not need a visa i. E. Will not be immigrating to the US, just moving there. 😊

Hey guys. :)

I still don't know when my case was approved, got send to NVC nor when it arrived there. But I got a case number and invoice ID the 25th of October.

we paid the fees, the 26th and finished uploading all documents, 2nd of November.

Today I heard back, only have to upload the W2 form of my husband again. I plan on doing that tonight or tomorrow morning and hope to get a case complete asap.

As far as I know NVC is scheduling embassy appointments for December until 16th of November. So hopefully I get to be with my husband for Christmas.

I hope it helps some of you as of figuring out a timeline of how things can go.

Good luck everybody!! 🍀

Congrats. Did you send any other tax receipts or is only W2 form you submitted?

Congrats!

I called NVC today and tried to get some more information but all they said is that they can’t predict when the interview will be scheduled for but that we would get at least a months notice.

If they still schedule until the 16th that would be awesome!

I only submitted w2 as supporting evidence.

It's sufficient I just did something wrong while uploading it.

I really hope so! It'll mean we two are getting close! Would you keep me updated about your experience with our embassy?

I cant believe I just now found out about this group!!! It has been so helpful and reassuring.
Our PD was 2/20

and our case was approved 10/25

USCIS has sent our case to the state department for consular processing

still no word from the NVC about whether they received it..should i call them?

Of course! Du mich bitte auch :)

I’ve been to the Frankfurt embassy twice already for a J1 and a K1 and both times everything went really smoothly. No long waits and everyone was nice and I had my passport back within 3-5 days.

Hoping it will be the same this time around!

Where are you planning on getting your medical done?

Yes call them and ask them about status, they are not going to let you know if they receive your case, your next communication from NVC will be when you are assign a case number.
