Hello all,

does anyone knows how long before an interview is scheduled once everything is approved and you are put into a queue for an interview date?

thanks in advance

Completely depends on which embassy you’re going through.

What Embassy are you at?  It really goes from weeks to months after NVC sends the files.

PHILIPPINES ONLY!!!  CFO (Commission on Filipinos Overseas) INFO - Can't leave home without it!

PDOS (Pre-Departure Registration and Orientation Seminar) is for ages 20-59.  Peer Counseling is for 13-19 years of age.

It is required to have the visa in their passport for PDOS and Peer Counseling.

GCP (Guidance and Counseling Program) is for K-1 Fiancee and IR/CR-1 spouse ONLY.

As far as i know, the affidavit of support, basically all the proof that you guys will be ok financially in the USA, is at the NVC stage. If you are unsure, maybe call the NVC? I was told you can call and ask questions there and they would help you (unlike the USCIS) 😉

Hi guys,

I just want to keep you all updated on my case. My case was finally received by NVC on October 4th after it had been approved by USCIS back in August 24th. I called NVC and was told to give them 4-8 weeks before I get new case number and so forth. I hope it’s really not that long before I hear from them. I think they’re only saying that because i was told before that it takes 6 weeks for them to receive my case from uscis but it only took 4 and a half weeks.

Congrats! Just heard back our case also went to NVC on October 3rd after approved on September 26th. Is there any way of us getting our NVC case # ahead of time to begin the DS260?

Congrats to you too. And I am afraid not. There isn’t any other way to get the case number other than to wait. I would give them a call back in two weeks. However, they will send you an email with the case and invoice number once it’s available and also send you a hard copy by mail. So just hang in there we’re not that far off till the end.
