Hello everyone, this my first post here. Last week I checked the uscis website and we got an RFE. I was disheartened and didn’t actually know what went wrong since we sent all the documents and lots of pictures and the passport pictures.  We got the rfe in the mail last night and the evidence that we have to submit is a passport photo of my husband. One photo, not 2.

hi everyone - our I-130 petition has finally been approved.

Nebraska Service Center

NOA2 10/2

Visa Journey estimate 9/18 - 10/02

Congrats!

We're the same PD so hopefully we won't have to wait much longer 🙏

My PD is 2/20 with Potomac. I called yesterday to try and get an update on my case. I was told that it can take 9 to 12.5 months to receive the NOA2. They said since my case is not past the current processing date of 10/2/2017 then I just have to wait for someone to review my case. This is so frustrating. I see that people in 3/2018 are getting approved. I thought they processed in the order that they received the case. Anyone else from Potomac still waiting? Has anyone else called to get an update on their case?

But in the i-130 instructions, it's clearly written that passport photo of spouse is not required if he/she is not in the United States.

I am in the same situation, PD 2/12. I called and was told the same.

When I said that people from Febraury are already getting approvals, the answer was that it is not true and they are lying!

Not only it is frustrating, it is absolutely crazy!

Thank you for your response. My question is why are people who filed in March getting approved before us? That isn't right if they are really processing them in the order they are received. Hopefully we will get approved soon. This wait has been way to long.

I think it depends not only on Service Center but also on the officer who is reviewing cases.

Some ppl are simply slower than others...

I honestly don’t know. We are  relieved that it’s not something that would require a lot of time. My husband mailed two photos today.

Yeah i hear you haha... You should have your approval in no time then 😊
