For those who got approved, is it really taking upto 8 weeks for a case number?? It’s been a week NVC received my case and Customer Care still says it’s processing to enter into the system and could take upto 8 weeks. Waiting and more waiting just can’t end urghhh

Hello VJ community, I got my NOA2 on the mail today. However, neither the USCIS website, much less the app are updated with that info as of now. I haven't even got an email notification for that change. Last email I got was on 8/29 saying that action was taken on my case on 8/15. I know that the wait could be painstaking but don't dismay. I wish you all good luck. Peace.

Hi , I have a question I know here is for CR1 but if you can help me I will appreciate, if a K1 Visa gets approved and enters the US, and  files for adjustment of status. When the greencard comes, what date will it carry. Date of when you entered the US or date of when your AOS was approved ? Can't find the info online.

Thanks.

As far as i remember, it's the date the visa was approved or somewhere around that time because normally it will say the date the actual card was issued.

That's how it was with my first Greencard where i went the AOS route.

Hi guys my I-130 was approved on August 24 2018(hard copy) and August 27( new website). It’s already been 2 weeks on to 3 weeks and still haven’t got any mails or emails from NVC on wether they received my case from USCIS. I called NVC on September 10th( 2 weeks after case was approved) I was told that they have not received anything as yet and that it may take up to 6 weeks for them to receive the case from uscis. Is that normal? For those of you who cases was received by NVC how long after your approval did they received your case? I will give NVC a call back on Monday sept 17th.

Thanks for your responses in advance
