Hi guys, I got some good news. This morning I got an message from USCIS that an action has been taking on my case to check the website. I nervously checked the new website and found that my cas was approved on

August 27, 2018

At Texas service center

VJ timeline prediction August 29 to September 4

I’m so happy 😁 Now I move onto the next step the NVC stage. I want to wish you all a speedy approval as well. Good luck to you all!

Congratulations. I'm happy for you.

August 17th is the date of approval which is always the date on the NOA2.

USCIS updated the site on August 21st.

@abies you’re a star! Thank you for that

Presently takes from 5-7months but takes longer for Mexico and Honduras because of the huge backlog their local embassy is experiencing.

I’ve looked at several timelines and none has taken that long. Thanks though.

Hi,

I was approved on August 27, 2018. Can you please tell me how long after you called NVC after your approval or when you think I should called them?

Thank you!

I called NVC a week after I got the email that my case was sent to them, and that's exactly when they recieved it 😊

oh we are almost same PD 02/21 with Potomac

Hi there. I don't know what this means but I got an email alert today saying that action was taken on my case on Aug 15th. All previous alerts that I have received in the past said that action was taken on Feb 24th (when they received my case). However, I logged in to both, the new and old site and to my disappointment no approval notice was issued. Should I assume someone at the office scanned my file and started working on it? Has anyone else come across a similar scenario?

That's very good that at least you receive something , I don know how ppl receive emails , did you submit an inquiry for them ? or registered somewhere out of old and new websites? Because we didn't receive  any notification so far just  NOA1.

Yes you can create an account with the new website and then enable text and/or email notifications!

thank you so much for the reply , I wasn't aware of notification settings on the new website , I just check and by default it is set as notify by email while I never received any notification . also I wanted to add a phone number but it doesn't let me input a number .this is the screen shot . I hope I can hear something soon.

Perhaps you can get the it department to help you because I didn't had any issues adding or updating my info there. You're on the right screen tho. Hope this helps.

I don't use the app. Is it developed and maintained by DHS or USCIS? If not, then I think your most up to date information will be on the official website. But you never know. How's your experience with he app?

The app is USCIC and just says the same info as if I log online, just got it last week.   Just was curious if anyone is using it and if it was updated the same time as your online case would be?
