EAD Delay - Pulling my hair out! Does this seem right?

Hi folks,

 

This fantastic forum (and my wife!) has been the only thing keeping me sane through this torturous process. Hoping you can advise on this particular scenario:

 

09/11/2017: Submitted I-485 with I-131 and I-765

09/14/2017: Notice of Action for both I-485 and I-131 arrive (NOT the I-765)

10/01/2017: Call USCIS to enquire about I-765, they tell me they don't have one (despite the fact I have the scans to show it all being sent together), and to resubmit

10/02/2017: Resubmit I-765

10/10/2017: Biometrics

10/21/2017: Letter informing me the biometrics taken on 10/10 can be used for I-765.

12/20/2017: Approved I-131 arrives (a document).

02/5/2018: Call USCIS to enquire about I-765 status, they tell me it's still pending and within normal timeframes.

 

I was hoping to get some perspective on whether this case seems 'reasonable' (or 'USCIS Reasonable' - a relative term!). The Tier 2 officer I spoke with today, told me that they are working on 'I-485 based 765's' dated 1st September, however, all the timelines I can find around VJ suggest they're working from applications submitted in November. He offered absolutely nothing of any use and suggested my case was completely normal. I'm obviously pretty frustrated at this point, as basically, USCIS lost/failed to submit my original application at the beginning of September, and now I'm just here waiting.

 

Any advice as to whether this seems to be okay, or if there is anything I can/should do, etc, would be appreciated.

I would suggest contacting your congressman from your state. We are contacting ours today because we received a bogus RFE on 12/20 for "no income verification sent with packet" even though we clearly sent the information with our packet. Last Friday we were past the 75 day mark (NOA1 dated 11/20) to make an inquiry about EAD and the tier 1 officer said that the RFE reset our clock. 

Our K1 took OVER 10 MONTHS to be approved (with the help of our congressman) which was absolutely ridiculous. We had to get our congressman involved and that sped up the process for us quite a bit we were projecting before our congressman's helped OVER A YEAR of waiting for the K1 visa with the interview date that the Chilean Embassy gave us originally before our congressman stepped in.

I applied in Augusti. I had my biometrics in September and I haven't received a thing.

Congressman did not do the trick for me. Two weeks after they contacted USCIS, we were told to wait.

EAD currently can take 4-5 months plus so you should be approved for the EAD very soon.
