Mabuhay Chris,

Joan and I went to El Nido in June 2016. It was spectacular in both of our opinions. Yes, it is a pain in the butt to get there (literally after a 6-7 hour van ride from PP airport) but so well worth it. We were there for 7 days including two travel days. We stayed at the Lally and Ebet Beach Cottage facing the ocean and they were more than adequate. Take all four "Tour options." They all go to different islands. The rock formations are stunning as are the beaches and water. I am not familiar with the air options. Joan and I might fly to Coron next time and take the boat over to El Nido.

We went to Boracay the first time I visited Joan, so there are sentimental memories. We stayed at Nigi Nig Too at Station 1, so it was a lot quieter than Stations 2 and 3. It was the perfect place to see the beauty of Boracay and spend "get to know you" time.

However, I would go back to El Nido before going back to Boracay.

Mahalo/Salamat!

I would go back to Sabang Beach in heartbeat over Boracay as well.

Thanks for the feedback I have El Nido and Coron on the priority list to visit.  And sometimes the venture to get there is almost as fun as the destination in the Philippines.

Just when you think you have TDS eradicate,  a new case shows up.

You are so right sometimes the venture is just as or more fun than the destination for sure.  One of my times I went to Davao City I took my wife to Blue Jaz Beach Resort without a reservation basically just going for it. Lo and behold the only rooms they had available was for Non-Aircon rooms and I said F That. So I was at the bar there and I promptly made a reservation at Pearl Farm for THAT day at one of their over the ocean rooms packages they had available at the time, now came the fun part of trying to get there.

So we talk to the bartender and he calls a buddy who calls another buddy. They come to BlueJazz to pick us up and take us to Pearl Farm. Gosh it was so funny because we had all out bags with us on 2 two motorbikes going through the heart of Samal Island to get there. My asawa was hoping the NPA wouldn't get me, but we have some great pictures. Anyway, like a hour later we show up at the back gate of Pearl Farm that is hidden away so the people at the resort can't see it. The guards are like "####### is going on and why are you here?". So they call up to the front desk and verify that we have a reservation for that night and let us in, we then get picked up by a golf cart to be taken to the front. We ended up taking the boat back to Davao City like all the rest of the guests. But it was a great experience.

I don't care too much for El Nido but I really want to go to Coron Island so bad. I think I might do it this year when we fly back, but it's still alittle early right now for everything to be concrete.

I have been to the Pearl Farm.  Most people take the boat shuttle in from Davao and land at the dock, so I can imagine that showing up at the back gate can be confusing to them.
