I’m hoping that next week we start to see that slow trickle of February approvals, and then the week after it goes full steam ahead!

Ive got my fiancé here with me in Australia at the moment, and getting out NOA2 while she is here would be the best thing ever!

Me tooo!! I’ve been watching this forum like a hawk these last few weeks 😂

That would be so exciting if you got the notice while together!

Sending lots of positive vibes your way!

Enjoy your time with your fiancé! How long is she here for?

So I got a text at 715 Saturday morning from USCIS. I almost had a heart attack thinking it was our approval/NOA2, especially since there was a flood of approvals last month on a saturday... and when I checked it, it was only the inactivity notificationl. I was sooo bummed😔. I think they were just messing with me because  those emails always came on a Monday lol. Hopefully the next text will be the real thing🤞

So have they actually started Feb already? It kinda sucks that we aren't able to do the scan anymore cuz we don't know which date they are working on. I'm going to take a week vacation to Bali next week so hopefully when I come back I'll hear lots of good news here :) Everyone, it's coming soon!

So my fiance is from Venezuela, and with the President partially "blaming" the US for the attack on him yesterday, I fear that they might close the US embassy in Caracas AGAIN. If they do, does anyone know if the USCIS decides what embassy they will send us to for the interview, or do we decide? Or who I can contact to get the info?

Stay in touch with the Embassy website as they are posting day to day updates. https://ve.usembassy.gov/

I'd have everything ready and get the earliest appointment.

Thank you Greenbaum , truly this waiting has made me realize how important mind over matter is. It has brought the best and the worst out of me because I'd convince myself that I miss my fiancé too much and that it's killing me to wait another month or two.. but you are completely right. The craziness begins with me. We use our own brain to make this a good or bad experience. .

Thank you for your wisdom.

And Open Note To Those Who Question Why it Takes so Long for Your Case to be Adjudicated

and the Meaning of Immigration with all it's Benefits

Thank you @Greenbaum. This is a good reminder that this wait is just a fraction of the road that lays ahead of us. It is good that we have VJ to remind us that we are not alone in this. And not only are thousands of others waiting with us, there's always lots of people who are waiting way longer than yourself.

Personally, I have never understood what the point of checking your account 18 times a day or calling USCIS several times a day is giving people. In my opinion it is not only a waste of my time, but also their time. And I don't think that I have read too many stories about it significantly speeding up the process/aproval. I am edgy as well, I want the wait to be over with, I want to be with my SO, I want to pack up my things and go and finally start the life that we've been waiting for. But no matter how many times I check, it is not going to start faster.

I agree that people need to be vetted thoroughly and since USCIS is not only working on K1 visas, obviously this is taking its time. However, this is a service and process that is expensive and a US citizen is paying for it. The processing times used to be way faster and I don't think that the vetting was less extensive back then. So yes, I understand the thorough process, but at the same time this is a government that is working for the citizens and not only are they paying for USCIS employees through their taxes, they also have to spend a significant amount of money to be able to marry the person they want to marry.

I feel like I have an addiction here, just praying for the day we start. Lord knows how it will be once they start working dates near ours 😳😂

Shes here till September 6th, and then it’s just battling the rest of the process while she’s back at school. It’s so nice having another Aussie in the same month though, lord knows this is all so confusing

Please be better informed of the news. Maduro didn't partial blame the US of anything. He placed partial blame on Venezuelan citizens living in the US. I understand your fears because my fiance also lives in Venezuela,  but do not allow your fears to further complicate an already difficult and frustrating process
